SOURCE: Casio Ex-Z75 Battery not charging ?

This problem is known. There is a way to fix it.
The fact that it blinks on and off means that the battery is completely out of energy. Thus, the charger doesn't "recognize" the battery.

To fix the problem, you need to give some energy to the battery. What I usually do is that I use a 9V battery (or any other source of power) and I link + and - of both the Casio battery and the 9V battery. You can use a paperclip as a link (you will use 2 paperclips, 1 between minuses and 1 between pluses).
Do that for 2 minutes and then charge your battery as usual. It should work !

Sorry if my English isn't accurate. I'm French.

SOURCE: the light on the battery

from another thread, posted by theslug. This worked great for my camera.

"Hi,I just found a soultion on another website and it appears to have worked for me.Apparently the battery loses it memory when fully discharged,to fix this take a 9v battery and place the terminals + to + and - to - with the camera battery for 30 seconds or so then put the battery back in the camera and charge as normal.I just did this and it seems to be charging and the red light is solid.hope this helps."

SOURCE: battery won't charge on casio ex-z77 exilim

It's a known Fault with the NP-20 battery don't order one and pay for it, ring or e-mail casio customer service they should send you one out for free!! When you receive the new one don't let it die, make sure and keep it partially charged at all time or the charger won't recognize it. Really casio should recall this battery but for some reason they insist on replacing faulty batteries with more faulty batteries!??!

The chances are pretty good that the battery is bad. Buy a new battery - they are inexpensive.

My daughter has the Casio Exilim EX-Z90 and when switching on the lens only comes out so far then goes back in and switches off. The battery is fully charged.

I will not further review this camera since many have given fine reviews here. My goal of this review is to explain a fix to a problem I had with this camera. Upon a search, I learned that others had similar problems but could not locate a good answer or fix.

THE PROBLEM: Casio Exilim EX-Z90 turns off suddenly after being turned on AND/OR the camera will NOT stay on after the power is pressed.

THE FIX: I was completely at a loss for this problem. I searched Casio's site, I e-mailed their customer service, and searched the internet for a fix and found NO HELP. One day my child told me that if they pressed against the bottom of the battery enclosure that the camera stayed on. I began to explore what this could mean. It was soon obvious to me that the three copper nubs that the battery sets against in the camera must have been pressed down too far. My child had a difficult battery one day and pressed very hard to get it out. This must have depressed the copper connectors (nubs) to where they did not make good contact with the battery causing the momentary power up and then quick shut down.

I had a pair of tweezers that allowed me to gently pull the copper connectors back up slightly thus allowing the battery to have proper contact. Once this was accomplished, the camera powered up and stayed on with no issues. You must be careful so as not to break the copper connectors off because if you do, the camera is done.

Why Casio does not have this printed as a troubleshooting option is beyond me. I hope this helps others out there.

Good luck!!

My camera says card locked all the time, it is a casio ex z80

Remove the card and switch the small grey knob on the side of the memory card to the opposite position. This will solve your problem.

Casio EX-Z700

I think, Charger is out of order and battery used all its charge, now charger is not functioning, so battery is not being charged. I mean no power from either side to camera.
Try to use another charger to charge battery.
