Check to make sure you are not blocking the soap dispenser door with a large platter or pan in front of it. The water will not be able to wash out of it.....

SOURCE: Frigidaire Dish washer MODEL

hi there aaliyazaidi2.is the water clear or dirty that you find in the dishwasher?there are two ways this could be happening.1,if the water is dirty[although it dose not have to be ,but its a sure clue]its you drain line of your dishwasher.what happens is because the drain line is lower than the sink drain, when you use your sink water runs by way of gravity in to the drain hose and then fills up your dishwasher, till you drain it or wash a load...to solve this problem you need too make a loop as we repairman call it.get some zip ties ,or what ever[string] and tie your drain hose off at the top off the sink under the sink cabinet[imagin your drain hose as a roller coaster, the hose coming from the dishwasher is the start of the coaster before it goes to the top of the big hill.what you want to do is ,at the top of the roller coaster hill, tie your drain hose to what ever you can under you sink causing a hill so when your hose goes back down ,it ends up into your disposer or what ever plumbing it ends up into.[hay i hope i helped you understand what i mean their];#2,the other way is your dishwasher water valve may not be sealing well. the water would only be clear if this was the issue and could be warm water because its only hot water to the dishwasher.what happens here is because the water valve is not sealing water slowly adds to your dishwasher may be drops at a time, and over the hours gone by it accumulates and the you notice water in the tub.to solve this you replace the water valve.its[most of the time blue, but could be tan or white]under the dishwasher.the water line from your house goes to it.i hope this helps you you can email if you need more help. God bless ,tom

SOURCE: Frigidaire dishwasher won't end cycle - will run

I would say the resettable thermostat has failed. There is a thermostat which senses the water temperature, and when it fails, it causes the dishwasher to run constant. Replace the thermostat underneath the dishwasher and that should cure problem. Part number is 154290204 (I know the number off by heart, that's how often it happens!)

Soap powder in d.washer by mistake berko model no de 2541 will this harm the d.washer

Likely not dishwasher tablets / powder are generally harsher than soap powder. It would not be a good practice to do constantly as detergents are formulated for specific purposes they vary in pH, surfactants and other agents that keep dirt in suspension so it can be rinsed away. The dishwasher cleaners really should be used periodically as every now and then it is good to run a wash the machine rather then it washing dishes.

Keep getting a white film on all my dishes, not cleaning properly.

Check the temperature of the water. Should be 120 deg. Also are you using powder or liquid? Liquid dissolved a lot quicker that powder. So liquid is actually better to use. Try running the hot water at the sink until it gets hot before running the dishwasher. Also you may want to try mixing half cascade liquid and half lemon shine.

Gritty murky crockery powder dispenser has sticky powder after the wash still in it.

Is it the dispenser that has murky powder or the dishwasher?
Dispenser: Is the dispenser being blocked from opening all the way during the wash load? This can happen in some dishwashers if a tall pan or dish is blocking the dispenser from fully opening. Hence, part of the detergent stays inside the dispenser and is goopy/murky/yuckie.
White powder on racks, nonstick spatulas, silverware basket: There has been a recent change in dishwasher formulation that can cause a white residue to deposit. Phosphates have been all but removed from dishwasher detergent. If there is a white residue on the dishwasher racks, etc, try a dishwasher cleaner such as Affresh for dishwashers and then look to consumer union for a new formulation. Be of good cheer: phosphates are very bad for our waterways, fish and fauna. This change was made in laundry detergent about 16 yrs ago.

Soap residue on glasses, dishes & flatware...what can I do..I use Cascade & JetDry

Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • Vinegar or lemon juice
  • Gel dishwasher detergent
  1. dishwashers have a rinse aid dispenser. If your dishwasher has this dispenser, fill it up periodically and it will release the appropriate amount of rinse aid automatically at the right time during the wash cycle. This will help your dishes rinse more cleanly.
  2. Rinse aid in solid form
Some older dishwashers or basic models do not have an automatic rinse aid dispenser. In this case, you can buy rinse aid in solid form that attaches to your dishwasher rack. Solid rinse aid can be hard to find in stores because it is not commonly used, but it can be purchased online.
  3. Vinegar or lemon juice
Appliance repairmen will tell you that one of the common problems they see with dishwashers is the buildup of excess detergent. If there is too much detergent in your dishwasher, your dishes will not rinse cleanly, no matter how good the dishwasher is or how much rinse aid you use. To clean the excess detergent that has built up inside your dishwasher, put 3 tablespoons of vinegar or lemon juice (concentrate is fine) in the empty dishwasher and run the dishwasher through a complete cycle with no dishes. Do this twice, for two complete cycles of the empty dishwasher with only vinegar or lemon juice added. The acid in the vinegar or lemon juice will break up the detergent that has built up in your dishwasher's interior.

After you have cleaned the detergent buildup from the inside of your dishwasher, follow the steps below to keep the buildup from happening again and to help your dishes rinse cleanly and prevent residue from accumulating on the dishes.
  4. Gel dishwasher detergent
Switch to a liquid or gel dishwasher detergent. Any brand will do.
  5. Fill one compartment half full Dishwashers will effectively clean dishes with much less detergent than manufacturers often recommend. The bleach in the detergent, combined with the extremely hot water used in the dishwasher wash cycle, will clean and sanitize your dishes completely, even in small amounts, and using less detergent helps prevent buildup and residue from accumulating on your clean dishes.

Fill only one detergent compartment(the one that snaps closed) half full with gel detergent. Snap the opening closed and run your dishwasher as you normally would. Your dishes will come out sparkling clean with no buildup or residue, plus you'll save money by using less detergent!

Even after a wash-a white detergent residue is left.

I have a Whirlpool Gold dishwasher and had the same trouble. I found the solution. Fill the detergent dispenser to the top with Cascade Complete liquid gel - it is in a green bottle, then put a half a cup of white vinegar in the bottom of the tub before you start the dishwasher. I have tried them all and Cascade Complete Gel works best. Don't use powder. It really builds-up on my dishes and only the gel keeps the film off my dishes.

I also add Jet Dry in the rinse-aid dispenser but I have a friend who use vinegar in that too. The dishes come out sparkling clean with no film or white build-up. If they still are filmy after three washes using this method, then you may have some build-up in the dishwasher and you can put a cup or two of white vinegar in the bottom - with no detergent or dishes and wash and rinse well. That helps get rid of build-up.

There is always detergent left in the compartment and my dishes don't seem clean. It doesn't seem to matter if I use powder or gel detergent and I don't overfill it.

I expect your filter is clogged which does not allow sufficient water to get from the pump to your spray arms. Thus they do not clean out the detergent nor do they clean the dishes. You might test this by placing a glass right side up in the top rack and run a normal wash cycle. The glass should fill at least half way with water.

Why is there a white hard powder on the dishes?

Powder is usually leftover detergent even after the rinse. If you have soft water, use half the amount of detergent.

LG LDF6920ST Bottom spray arm dose not work

The LG LDF6920 dishwasher has an innovative "Vario" motor/check valve. It switches between full power spray on the upper arms and the lower arm. So, if you are looking inside the dishwasher to see which arm is spinning, you just have not opened it when the lower arm is turning.
if the root problem is that your dishes are not getting clean with this water conserving DW, go out and buy a name brand detergent powder - like Electrosol or Cascade. And use less powder then you have been using.
Good Luck!
