I tried inserting a different sim card but my e71 still can not send SMS. I tried calling network assistant and did their advice, changed message center number, changed network settings from dual to GSM and restarted, tried restoing factory settings, nothing helped.
Would you know the solution?
You have to save all your data first , then you have to format the handset by switch off and then pressing * and 3 and green button and the power button all at the same time un till it asks about country setting and time etc
First back up the file using pc suite. Then format the phone pressing * 3, green button and power button at the same time. Send sms and it works!! Restore the files, cannot send sms again. So i think may be there is something wrong with the files. So I try to back up it one by one, instead of back up button. Try and see which one works but the most important thing back up your file first. Thanks to farhanaadil!!

after doing this procedure phone is requesting for lock code ...
the problem is i forgot my lock code,....is there someone who can help????

When you were with network assistance, did they ask you to change your "reply via same centre" in your message settings?
