Could be a blown speaker/sub or a wire is crossed in the sub enclosure.

Why does my MTX thunder 702x amplifier cut on and off

Check fuse on amp under hood. Also, check wire connections makes none of them are loose and move your RCA jacks around to see if you have a short.

I have a MTX 300XD...it just stopped working. I tightened everything up and it still doesn't work. the red light is on but there is a green flash and when it flashes it makes a noise that I can hear...

What is the electrical system in the different car like? You may need to get a secondary battery for that amp. Also ceck your in line fuse,it may need to be larger.Sounds to me like you either do not have enough power,or a ground is not connected.

Not a green light comes on like normally... a yellow one comes oh

could be the wires is bad or someplace the power wire is grounding out or the fuse or fuses is blown. or could be not enough voltage but highly doubt it.

Mtx 1000xd led light is flashing and the subs will not work

The light flashing usually means there is a short somewhere. Check your wires to make sure there are no slices and are touching. Also check to make sure you have your remote wire hooked up.

MTX Thunder problem

Make sure that your connection at the battery is still good-sometimes the wire corrodes up front when your system is installed for a long time-so check that out and of course the fuse that you installed a foot away from the battery so that you dont burn your vehicle down if a short occurs somewhere down the line

I have a mtx thunder 1501d..i have the power cord connected from the battery, to a power cap and then to the amp...i have the ground connected to the metal frame of the car, to a power cap and then to the...

Hello tonytone54, The ground should go directly to the vehicle frame, never through a cap, fuse, or anything else. Also, if you are connecting positive through a cap, make sure that you charge the cap before connecting it. Hope this helps.

My red light on my amp is on and wont go out

Unfortunately I think you need to get it repaired or replaced .When a protection light will not turn off it is generally caused by an internal short and needs one or more replacement parts for it to come alive again.

Mtx 1501d no sound

There are a number of things that can cause it to act as you described. Have you pulled the covers off of it yet to see if you can see any problems?

If you do, disconnect power from it and don't touch ANYTHING on the board when ANY of the 3 LEDs (2 are not visible from the outside) are lit.

My amp doesn't turn on...

If there is a zero ohm connection across the B+ and ground terminals, it should blow the fuse as soon as you apply power.
