HOW DO I TURN OFF THE GPS - Jensen VM9725BT

Look in the menus. There should be a setting to turn GPS on or off. if your GPS has a remote antenna, and it's not connected, make sure it is, that would cause the GPS to 'turn off' the GPS radio.

Try the following,

Turn the GPS off and unplug it from your computer. Start the WebUpdater software. When you get to the screen with a list of GPS devices and a Find Device button, plug in your GPS. If it still does not show, turn on the GPS. Click Find Devices and it should now list your GPS.

To turn GPS back on go to Tools > Settings > System > GPS Simulator "OFF". This will turn GPS back on.

I'm not sure if you realize this, but you must hold the power button for about 10 seconds to turn the 5100 on and off.

You need to charge your gps from any external charger and check whether screen is working properly .

Also do firmware update for your gps .

By updating firmware your problem can be fixed .

i have lcx 27c gps will not work locked up module not responding but has power to it

I have a Samsung Omnia. If you go into settings you can turn on AGPS (assisted GPS) and download some addition software that helps gps. GPS is automatic but you can turn it off or allow windows mobile to manage it which is advisable. You cannot automatically see the GPS but you can buy or get third party software to see when GPS is working.

GPS gate works to turn gps on/off manual but this is just one software.

I have included a link to show where these settings are and if you want to use GPS gate. Note: I am not affiliate with GPS gate at all.

have you actually enabled the G1's GPS receiver within the phone ?
the GPS is not switched on out of the box aswell as Wifi and Bluetooth.
Try going into the settings and enabling the GPS Satellite receiver and then use the maps application to see if the Satellites can Triangulate your position and find where your at !

Make sure that the bike's electrical connection to the GPS unit is actualy not having power once you turn the key off in the bike. This GPS turns on with external power. It is inherent in to its design.

In the case were you cannot have the bike's power source to the GPS turn off with the key, see if you can wire a small in-line switch in series with the GPS unit so that you have an external power switch. This should be easy to do.

The models I have used from Garmin have their own power switch. You should be able to use its power switch to turn it off.
