I have an amana fridge and one of the two internal bulbs in the fridge compartment has blown. I have bought 2 replacements and neither worked. It is not the socket that is at issue as I can use the remaining working bulb on either socket. It looks like the screw fitting on the replacement bulbs is not long enough to make contact with the base of the fitting?? i.e. they will now screw in deeply enough. I've tried a standard hardware shop replacement and even bought a specialist bulb supposed to be for amana (at great expense!). What is the issue??
You could also have a problem with the switch, the switch wiring, or the lamp socket wiring. A Job best left to a pro.
You pretty much answered your own question. If the remaining working bulb works in the socket and if the base seems to be not long enough on the replacement bulbs - there is most likely a problem (or by design) - with the bulbs. The best way to be sure is to ensure the correct bulb type - c6, c9 etc.

Check the damper in the top back of the fresh food section. make sure that it is open and air is coming through it.

if there is frost build up on rear wall of freezer section the unit is not going through defrost cycle which builds up frost on evaporator and restricts cold air flow to the fresh food section. one of three things are bad. defrost heater, defrost thermostat or defrost timer. if no frost on rear wall you might be low of freon.

First use a volt meter to check for power inside the light fixture.
If there is no power,replace the push button switch in the door opening.

the ptc overload relay on the compressor is bad and needs replacing unplug it off the compressor body and get an exact replacement for your model
