Frequency Code??? I have a Durabrand DWT1304 and i have lost the manual and remote i neeed the frequency code to use an universal remote

Buy a SONY universal remote.
Most universal remotes do not support SONY, but a hand full do.
Packaging should explicitly state support for SONY.
Most IR remotes can use a carrier frequency range of 30-56KHz, with most using normally 38-40KHz, or likely the GE universal. SONY is in the mid 50KHz range, other manufactures in upper 40KHz range and audio equipment Bang & Olufsen and, Kenwood use a 455KHz frequency. The carrier is what your TV or DVD is tuned to see and the codes are transmitted like Morse code for digit ones and zeros to say, change channel or play.
Short to say if you don't find an auto code scan that works then try another manufacture. Manual can be found online at manualslib if lost.

There may not be a code set that applies to your TV' there is no such thing as a 'universal' remote and the farther apart the two are in time, the less likely it is that you will find a code set that works. A new remote is more likely to have a code set for an older TV but the reverse is not possible.
Your Durabrand AND the Magnavox are both made by Funai so check their website for info on both.
You might also try the brands listed below to see if any of their code sets work, all are made by Funai:
Funai, Symphonic, Sylvania, Emerson, Aventura, Durabrand, ESA, Magnavox, Insignia, Philips and Misakai


BTW, when buying one of the remotes claiming to be 'universal,' check the remote manufacturer's website by model number BEFORE buying it to see if they have those devices listed you want to control.

These have all worked on various remotes including Dish Network remotes for the Durabrand DWT 1304 color 13" TV. Look at the Funai Corp codes and the Orion codes. Sometimes they work, Funai Corp makes Durabrand.

We broke our remote for the Durabrand 13 inch tv, bought a RCA universal remote and that did not work. Just bought the radio shack 3 in 1 remote for $7.99 and it had the codes for the Durabrand tv and it worked fine. Hope this helps.

I bought the "3 in 1 easy to use" universal remote from Radio Shack for $5.99 and used the Durabrand Codes in the insert. It worked perfectly.

Check out the Remotes in Radio shack. 2 models support durabrand. I purchased the "3 in 1 easy to use" universal remote for $5.99 and used the codes for the Durabrand and it worked perfectly.

We bought the radio shack 3 in 1 remote for $7.99 and it has the Durabrand codes and it worked for us.
