Crack on the corner - we have a run on the ceramic

We have a crack on the corner - we have a run on the ceramic cooktop but it runs from one corner to another(same corner - about 90 degree shape) - does not affect the burner area - is there a special type of epoxy or glue that we can glue the pieces back - I've been gone for a few months and came home to this chip problem - thank you for your help - do i need to replace the ceramic cooktop portion of the JED8430ADW?

Glass on cooktops are not fixable - due to the chance of electrical shocks the manufacturer strongly suggest replacement of the glass.

It is not advisable to use a broken ceramic top.

The top of my halogen hob has cracked from top to bottom thro the centre is there any way of repairing it? it is a 5 ring creda rangemaster

you cant repair the glass but you can get the ceramic glass as a spare part. you will need the exact model number to get the correct part once done your hob looks brand new. if cracked through one of the zones you could chack there is no damage to element or themal cutout running across the centre of the element before proceeding.

You can get the main glass top, the part number is WB62T10525 and it runs just under $300.00, it is shown here as 51. It does take a bit of dis assembly to install it.

Want to vent gas cooktop from top of ceiling cabinet down to basement and out chimmney. Distance is approximately 20 feet with four 90 degree angles. Suggestions? Thank you.

There are special fans that are used for this. Use the web to look up exhaust fans. Normally used for boilers, tumble dryers where the distance required to run is further than the fan supplied with the item can push it. The fan will need to be wired in so that the gas cannot be turned on until the fan is running. Pick the fan that best matches flue diameter, temp, and distance

Epoxy would not work. If it is a very small chip and is NOT STRUCTURAL or in the heated are you could TRY the adhesive used for rear view mirror to glass attachment.

I have a whirlpool drop in ceramic stove and a burner isnt working. i had a repair man come and he was trying to pry the stove up but was having trouble because the person that insatlled it years ago...

When you dont replace the ceramic top that ios cracked could cause issues in your circuit board. The best thing t do is buy a new stove. The parts nad labor along is going to cost you about the same price as a new one.
