Trying to find out the battery that will fit in my Tag Heuer Formula 1 model #383.513 watch. Called Tag Heuer corporate in New Jersey but couldn't get any information just, send it in to them and they will put the correct battery in. Thanks for any info that's posted.

This is not a cheap watch....You should send it to a qualified watchmaker or the manufacturer. This watch has to have a pressure test to insure it's water tight. This may require replacement of some or all of the gaskets in the case.I would never recommend that this is something that you should try to do yourself.You would be amazed at the money I make do to improper replacement of JUST the battery.

Chances are they don't know the number either. Tag uses ETA movements, there are probably two or three different types used in your model. They would not know until they see it. Just ask the dealer to open up the back before he sends it in and you will have your answer. If they wont help, we would be more than happy to do the job and tell you the battery #

I'm not trying to put a battery in the watch I just want to know the number of it. If I send it to Tag Heuer they still won't tell me after they install the battery. The watch is going to a Tag Heuer dealer for the watch replacement and whatever else has to be done to it but just wondering what is all the secretcy? After I get the battery installed I'm giving the watch to my nephew so I won't have to know the dam number of the battery and just stick with my Rolex, don't have to worry about a battery.
