SOURCE: Blinking Voicemail Light but no Messages

hold you finger for 5 seconds on the page (or find hs) button, that usually clears the blinking beep/light!!!

also make sure no old messages are in the VM inbox!

This worked for my phone!

SOURCE: message box says full, but machine shows 0 messages

Do you also have a telephone-company provided answering feature on your line (such as Verizon's home voice mail)? I've known other people who got this service as part of a package from their phone company without realizing it, and had just the same trouble. Your callers may be reaching that instead of your answering machine.

Most companies alert you to waiting messages through "stutter dialtone." When you pick up your handset you'll hear two or three short bursts of dialtone before it goes steady. This is your signal to pick up your voicemail messages. Are you hearing this?

Check with your telephone service provider if you are unsure. If your telephone answering machine says it hasn't taken any messages, the full box message must be coming from them.

SOURCE: voicemail light is flashing. How do I get message?

If you have a voice mail box set up, and you don't use your answering machine for messages, that would be something that is set up through your phone company (AT&T, Verizon, etc.).

Typically, to access your voicemail, you would dial your home phone number, and then when your message picks up (either the automated message or your personal greeting) press the asterisk or star key (*) and then enter your password. Depending on your particular voicemail, you may have to hit the pound key (#) after your password as well. Then, once you are logged in, the system should tell you whether or not you have any new messages, and if you do, generally you would press "1" to hear them.

Hope that helps! If you can't get in to your voice mail or your password doesn't work, you would have to contact your local phone service provider for assistance.

Hi, are the messages been stored on the phone now or are they been stored with your phone provider, the problem is most phone providers now offer their own answer phone service so unless you ring their answer phone number to get your messages you never know you have got any.

so i wouldnt say this is a problem with the phone i would say its with your provider, now the problem is if your phone normally holds the messages on its own messaging service then the best thing to do would be to call your service provider and tell them your phones have it own answer phone and you want to use that instead of their answer phone service.

a lot of people have had this same problem, your phone has its own answer phone but the answer phone is getting picked up by your service providers answer phone and to get the message you have to call their answer phone service, so if you want to use your phones answering service then you need to stop the one your phone provider has set up for you
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

How do I disable the voicemail on my Motorola CD4 landline?

Hi Sherry,

To disable the voicemail on your Motorola CD4 landline, you will need to contact your landline service provider and request that they disable the voicemail feature on your account.

The process of disabling voicemail may vary depending on the service provider, but typically, you can do this by calling their customer service hotline or by logging in to your account online.

Once you are connected with a customer service representative, explain that you want to disable the voicemail feature on your account. They may ask for verification of your account information and may need to make changes on their end to complete the process.

It's also worth noting that disabling voicemail means that the callers will no longer be able to leave you a message when you are unavailable. So, make sure you consider this before making a final decision to disable voicemail.

Dont know voicemail password

Are you referring to the voice mail on your cell? What company do you have service with? If using cell, you may be able to try dialing 611 and then press the send or call button. then select the option for reset password. (When you received the phone, were you able to put it in your name with your account info? If so, you may be able to provide answers to the security questions with your account to reset your password.) Let me know if this helps.

My mom passed away in November and her voice was on the answering machine for leaving a message. My Dad changed phone companies and somehow that lost any voicemail messaging for the phone. He can't seem to...

First of all, my condolences to you and your family on your loss.

Unfortunately I was unable to locate a complete user's manual for this phone online. However, from the specs I was able to find, this phone does not appear to have any kind of built in answering machine. Therefore your last voicemail feature was almost certainly the one provided by your phone company. All messages and greetings would have been stored on their computers in their main office and not on your actual phone in your house.

Since you changed phone companies in the meantime, then your messages have very likely been deleted from the system by your old phone company. If your old phone number has already been given out to someone else then I'm afraid the message is gone for sure. If the number is still available or out of service then you might have a very slim chance of recovering the message.

If you only changed phone companies recently (less than a month ago), you may be able to contact your old phone company and see if the greeting message is still on their computer system somewhere. This would definitely not be a standard request and you will probably have to convince one of the customer service supervisors of the sentimental importance of the message for them to make an effort at recovering it.

Sorry again.

Good luck and take care.

How do i change the number of rings on my phone before it goes to voicemail

The change is made in the voicemail system, not the phone. Get in to your voicemail box, listen to the menu and select the option for 'setup', 'settings' or 'system options', the exact name varies according the voicemail system, and you usually have to make several choices, but the options are almost always availble with menu selections. With hundreds of voicemail systems available, that's about the best advice you'll get with the information you provided.

Where is the voice record key?

Voicemail

Your network stores the voicemail messages you receive. To listen to your messages, call your voicemail number.

Note: Your service provider may give you additional information about using voicemail.

The phone calls your voicemail phone number. If no
voicemail number is stored, your phone prompts you to

Voicemail number can't be changed

>Message
>OPEN MENUS BUTTON (black round button in the middle of the 4 way selector arrows
>Msg Center Menu
>Voicemail Setup, etc

NB the Open Menus Button is often mistaken for just another way to say 'Select', but in fact opens up a whole range of sub-menus that can't be accessed any other way, and eg allows you to delete messages, etc.
