Where can I download a free copy of the MIO DIGIWALKER C230 original cd

Turn off the power switch on the bottom of the unit for at least 30 seconds

SOURCE: MIO DIGIWALKER NOT TURNING ON

I have fixed my son's unit twice with the same problem ove the last 18 months.
First remove the 4 screws from the corner on the back.
Then gently pry the back off being careful of the speaker wires attached to the main board.
You can't miss the battery as it's the biggest thing there. Follow the wires to the plug which will probably be hidden under a piece of black tape. Unplug the battery and let it stand for 10 minutes. Plug the battery back in and reassemble!

I hate these things but they do sync with microsoft. I was unable to find a proper driver too but did find out that MS SYNC

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/activesync-download.mspx

was what I needed to be able to talk to the device.

My GPS is missing most maps & I cannot seem to transfer from cd
the maps are on the 1gb sd card in the side of your c220 unit.
If it's missing, get a 1gb sd card and find a computer that will accept sd cards and your cd that came with your gps, then download the maps from the cd to the sd card.
Your c220 only has 4 states on the unit itself.

The c230 has all the maps on the unit but only 1 million POIs versus 3 1/2 million on the c220

the c230 only has 1 million POIs. The C220 has 3 1/2 million POIs. Thats why.

Yhere is an upgrade to install a 2gb card nut is no longer available, Saw one on EBay for $60

C230 time of arrival is one hour too early
This is a common problem that Mio acknowledges, and from what they told me in my phone call to them, they will address that issue in an update which they are working on "right now", but I fixed my gps, and unlocked a whole bunch of other neat features like an mp3 player by unlocking my Mio C230:

This guy's work with the c230 is amazing, and everything works great..... it basically just turned my 100 dollar GPS into a 200 or even 300 dollar GPS. Very cool stuff.
