SOURCE: Kodak Easy Share CD1013 pictures won't download on Vista

Hello and welcome to FixYa

Please go to a electronics store and buy a USB card reader. I bought one last week and it cost $0.5 so its cheap as dirt. Then simply remove the card from your camera , pop it into the reader and the pictures will appear on a drive like a flashdrive in your my computer folder.

This is a much better option than using the camera's cable as it is faster , safer , saves on your camera battery and you don't need to install any software or drivers.

The card reader will most likely also still be compatible with any new camera you buy in future.

Kind Regards
Andrea

Looking for free download software for Kodak easyshare C183 with no charge

After I registered my Kodak EasyShare camera, I could download updates for the Picture easy software for free with Kodak.
My guess is they still have the newest software for all users. (I'm now using Nikon, so I did not update from Kodak for a long time)

I am trying to download photos to my pc. All plugged in the the Device Connected box ins blank. Any ideas - its driving me nuts!

OK, when I use my Kodak Easy share cameras on a fresh computer that hasn't downloaded Kodak pictures before I do the following:

Load Easyshare software onto the machine, and install it.

Then, I connect the camera to the computer.

Then, I open the Easyshare software and it may ask a few questions.

Next, I watch the computer (Windows 7) as it loads the proper driver for my camera.

Finally, I click on transfer pictures and I am set with my pictures.

The pictures should show up in the Start Menu's picture under Kodak Pictures.

You should be done.

Let me know how it works out with the Easyshare software downloaded to the computer before trying to load pictures on to the computer.

Pc wont recognize camera. windows xp

Hi,

  • Start EASYSHARE Software.

  • From the menu bar, select Help > About Kodak EasyShare software.

  • Note the software version. If you have Version 8.0 or later installed on your computer, review the help information for Transfer Pictures.

  • From the menu bar, select Help > Kodak EasyShare Help. When the Welcome to EasyShare Software window appears, select Transfer pictures, then read the help information.

  • If you do not have Version 8.0 or later installed on your computer, go to EASYSHARE Software Downloads, then follow the instructions to download the latest version of software. Approximate download time is 5 minutes for Cable/DSL, or 2 hours for a dial-up connection.

If that doesn't solve your problem you can manually add your pictures/videos to easyshare software.
  • In easyshare Software, select My Collection, then select Add Pictures. The Add Pictures screen appears.Look at the Select a location field. If the My Files folder is collapsed, click the + to open the folder. In the Select a location field, select your camera folder, for example: M381 Digital Camera. Thumbnails of the pictures/videos on your camera internal memory, and on a memory card if one is in your camera, appear.

  • Select the pictures/videos to add to EASY SHARE Software, then click Add Pictures. To add all the pictures/videos in the folder, click Add Entire Folder.Click Done.

Thank you

Close the Kodak EasyShare software from your system tray (down by the clock).
Go to www.apple.com and download apple quicktime.
After you have installed quicktime successfully, add the videos to the software.
Since the pictures were downloaded successfully, videos are also transferred.

They are usually saved in your My Documents\My Pictures\Kodak Pictures.
