You probably shorted something. Food and computers don't mix.

Don't power it on. If that is doesn't seem kind of all water proof kind. Take out the battery and the AC power supply. Turn the laptop upside down without closing the screen monitor and let the coffee be out. Dry it/or take it on a reputable shop( I may suggest).

Have it clean. Hope it doesn't fry something inside.

SOURCE: only about 6 keys are working on my lenovo laptop,

More than likely it needs replacing.
Keyboards tend be fairly delicate and if you've already tried rinsing and drying it your best best is to try replacing it.

You should fully disassemble the laptop & thoroughly inspect its inside. Look for any traces of liquid on the circuit boards & on other components. On circuit boards, liquid damage appears in the form of whitish traces. These needs to be wiped off. This can be done using a tooth brush moistened with few drops of hand sanitizer liquid.
Check all internal connectors & make sure that no liquid seeped into them. Dry them if needed.
When you are done, re-assemble back the laptop.
If the liquid fell on the keyboard & you found out that the keyboard is no longer working, then you will have to replace the keyboard.

If it still does not work, the motherboard might be damaged & needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: Keyboard inserts backslashes when I type

Unless you're fairly technically adept and mechanically inclined, the easiest fix is to replace the keyboard. They aren't that hard to find and aren't all that expensive.
If you don't have a clue how to do this, then your best bet is to send it to a professional that will source out the cheapest replacement keyboard and offers inexpensive international shipping like SuperTech-IT.com

Keyboard dont type

No matter how careful you may be, knocking a cup of coffee or spilling a glass of soda over your keyboard may happen. This does not, however, mean the end of your keyboard. If you act quickly, you may be able to fix your wet keyboard to avoid any corrosion of its electronic components or any short circuit which might render it unusable. By following a few recommendations, you should be able to fix your wet computer keyboard.

Unplug the keyboard from your computer immediately after the spill to avoid any corrosion or short circuit. If you spilled water over your laptop's keyboard, turn your computer off by clicking on "Shut Down" on "Turn Off" in the start menu, unplug the power supply and remove the battery. Turn the keyboard upside down and shake it to remove most of the water from it. Take a hair dryer and set it to its lowest temperature setting. Use it to dry any water which might remain under your keyboard's keys. Wait at least 12 hours before plugging your keyboard into your computer again. If your computer is a laptop, wait 12 hours before turning it on again. For Other Liquids Disconnect the keyboard from your computer immediately after the spill to avoid any short circuit or corrosion. Turn your computer off by selecting "Shut Down" or "Turn Off" in the start menu, remove the battery and disconnect the power supply. Place paper towels on a table, turn the keyboard upside down and shake it over them to allow most of the liquid to fall down. Take a few clean paper towels and wipe the liquid off your keyboard's keys. To clean between the keys, you can also use cotton swabs with just a little bit of water. If the liquid which you spilled over your keyboard contained a high amount of sugar, such as soda or sugared coffee, you might have to remove some of your keyboard's keys to clean the surface under the keys with paper towels or swabs. You can do so by lifting them gently with a screwdriver or by using a key remover, which you can find in some IT stores. Wait at least 12 hours before using your keyboard again. If your computer is a laptop, wait the same length of time before turning it on again. Keyboard has nonfunctioning keys

You will need to replace the keyboard. Usually they are attached with a coupe screws on the back of laptop with a keyboard symbol and/or latches screws on the front just above keyboard. They may be under the bezel. Keyboards usually run $100 from the manufacturer or parts outlet.

Hp G62 dead after spill

In most cases, you are in a position where you may need to return it to HP for repair.

There is one thing you can try, but it takes a very gentle hand and touch: use something like Fantastic, or a more eco-friendly spray solution. Gently spray the key board all over where the spill went, which
means probably the whole keyboard.

Let it sit a few minutes, then turn it upside down on paper towels and let it drain.

Then, gently spray it again with plain water and let it sit upside down on more paper towels. Allow it to drain for a long time, something like a day or more.

When you turn the laptop right side up, you may find the keyboard fully functional again. But there is no guarantee. This works mostly on keyboards attached to desktop computers, not integrated into laptops.

The concept is the same - cleanse the keyboard, flush it, and allow it plenty of time to dry. Remember, liquid and electricity, no matter how low voltage, like a keyboard, are not friendly. If you try to use it before it is completely dry, you can fry more than just the keyboard.

It's possible to help it along with a gentle application of a hair blower, but not until after the two cleanings, and at least a day upside down on paper towels.

Good luck.

Cheers!

Got tea on my laptop

As i understand, the system seems to be working fine after the spillage ... there shouldnt be any issues other than the keyboard being sticky .
If the tea had seeped in then it could have fried the Motherboard. However , you could reach HP for support incase of any issues , if you tell them that the tea was spilled on the system then they might not cover the issue under warranty.

How to clean spill out of keyboard on hp pavilion dv7 1245dx

Best thing to do is to take the keyboard out of the laptop. There is usually a top cover above the keyboard that needs to come off. Then there is some screws holding in the keyboard, unscrew those and then unhook the ribbon part of the keyboard off of the motherboard.

Then at that point take a paper towel or washcloth with glass cleaner and clean all around where the spillage is.

Also clean off the keyboard is well and let it sit for a day so it can dry out.

Then put the keyboard back and see if the keyboard is working properly, if not then you'll need to replace it.

Spilled wine in keyboard

it really depends, on the logitech stuff they have the accidental spill holes in the bottom so liquid doesn't pool but there is a possibility that it could have saturated the board and ruinied the internals, just try to dry it out as best you can and hope for the best

Very short freezes constantly

There was more damage than just the keyboard, your fault appears intermitten and possibly some connectors and sockets are not making good electrical contact. You need to dismantle the laptop completely to inspect and clean what ever you can with distilled water and let it dry throughly. It still may not work because there may be some electrical damage to some chips and components, especially if the laptop was running at the time of the wine spill.

There is not much help I can offer you except to advise you to buy another laptop, and if the hard drive in the old laptop is OK then buy a USB hard drive case and insert the laptop hard drive in this case and use it as an external USB hard drive. You need to delete all the old system files etc. to maxmise the hard disk space.
