Hi,

If the printer is connected via USB cable, try the below steps.

1. Click start ->Run.
2. In the Run window, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotes), click OK.
3. Device Manager Window will pop out, in this screen at the bottom you will see "Universal Serial Bus Controllers"
4. Click on the(+) sign next to "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" and look for "USB Composite Device".
5. Right click on "USB Composite Device" and select Uninstall.(Read Note)
6. After the the device is uninstalled, disconnect the USB cable from the back of the computer.
7. Restart the computer, after the system is booted plugin the USB cable.
8. You may need to wait for sometime for the device installation to get complete.
9 . Then try to print a word document.

Note: Before uninstalling the "USB Composite Device" right click on it and select properties to confirm whether that driver is for the printer.

It seems that scanner drivers are unable to establish communication with the scanner hardware. Please try the below steps to reload the communication drivers.

1. Click start ->Run.

Im Rizwan from India, i would to tell u to check few things that will resolve this problem

SOLUTION:

NO 1: Check the Connection and power
1.Check the USB cable and the power line to the printer.
2.unplug and replug the cables at the PC an printer end.

NO 2:Check the printer status in control panel.
1.Click start - >Run.
2.In the run window type "control" (without quotes).control panel will open.
3.In the control panel, look for printers and fax and check the printer icon.
4.If printer icon says Offline, Right click on printer icon and select "use printer online"
5.Try printing, if it didnt print follow step NO 3.

NO 3:Restart the USB Composite Device.
1.Right click on MY computer ->Properties->Hardware->Device manager.
2.You will get Device manager window popping out.
3.Scroll down to "Universal Serial BUS controllers".Click on the (+) sign.

The Cause of this problem is when the printer ran out of paper, few jobs got queued in the print spool memory.just follow my solution.I guarantee the issue resolution.
[Note:if you want me to fix the problem, u can contact me on my yahoo([email protected]), i can also take remote access on your PC and i can work on your PC to fix the problem.]

Solution #1:

1.Click start - >Control panel - >Printer and faxes.
2.Right click on the Hp Deskjet F300 printer ICon and select "cancel all document"
3.Disconnect the USB cable and Restart the PC.
(if it doesnt works go to Solution #2)

Solution#2:

1.Right click on MY computer ->Properties->Hardware->Device manager.

2.You will get Device manager window popping out.

3.Scroll down to "Universal Serial BUS controllers".Click on the (+) sign.

4.Check for the "USB Composite Device" and right click on it, click Uninstall.(IMPORTANT NOTE:WE HAVE TO UNINSTALL THE PRINTER'S USB COMPOSITE DEVICE, TO KNOW WHETHER IS THE PRINTER'S USB COMPOSITE DEVICE, RIGHT CLICK ON USB COMPOSITE DEVICE AND PROPERTIES,look for what location says, Eg -LOCATION : HO DESK JET F300)

Hi,I was working for HP as Sr. tech support for 18 months in All in One printer Department, newly joined at Fixya to test my technical skills.

Step 1.Unplug the USb and reconnect it.

Step 2.If that doesnt works, right click on the printer ICOn in the control panel ->Printer and faxes.Check whether do u see "use printer Online".If u see it click on it and then check the printer,If it doesnt works or If u dont see the option "Use printer ONLINE".Go to Step 3.

Step 3:
