Yahoo widgets won't connect on samsung tv

Funny, same thing happened to me about the same time! Took me a while to figure out how to fix it. You have to get to the HDTV Settings menu and hit the Help icon. Do a Clear Memory/(Factory Default) and go thru that process, basically you go through all the settings just as you did the first time you powered up the TV. This will fix your problem.

The challnge is...how to get to the HDTV Settings menu when your VIA button only brings up the error you described? I finally got there like this: Hit the "Input" button on the remote, navigate to "TV" and hit OK (basically just select TV as your input), hit the Menu button on the remote and that will bring up the HDTV Settings menu and then proceed as above

SOURCE: setting up new tv.

first try disabling the security on the router and see if you can get the tv working over the internet then. That will help isolate the problem.
