SOURCE: EE2 code for toyo LASER 56

Hi sammysamual,

My business is Laser Heating Service in the North Pole/Fairbanks areas of Alaska. An EE2 error code is usually fuel related. What does your Toyo do before the EE2 code shows up? If you let me know the sequence of events, I can trouble shoot the problem for you. toyotech

SOURCE: My toyo lazer 30 won't start, and the EE2 problem

With an EE2 message you have a problem with the stove igniting during start up. If you continue to try you will end up with an EE22 and the stove will be locked out. If so, un plug for 20 minutes. While you are waiting check out you fuel system. Low fuel, no fuel, dirty filter on tank and stove. Be sure to bled the air off the top of the filter when you change it.

Lazer 30 error 22 on panel

The stove quit three times with an ee2 message. The stove is trying to save you from flooding. You may have a fuel problem that is causing the ee2 problem. After three time the stove locks out and won't let you try again. Find out whats up with the fuel. Unplug the heater for 20 minutes and you will be able to try again. Also make sure the igniter is getting hot. Two red wires going into the burner should get hot.

An ee8 message refers to the combustion Blower motor
Unplug unit
Take off front cover
There is a rubber hose from blower case to the base of the unit
Take it off carefuly
Use your finger or a Pencil to try to move the intake fan
Resemble unit
If this doesn't work you may have to replace Blower motor or just clean it up.

We just got oil after not using our toyo stove since last Summer. when I turned it on and push the on button it flashes 12:00 then a second push of on button briefly shows temp then goes to EE8, I can't...

Ok so I bought a L 73 model two years ago and today I had fuel delivered in prep for the winter. When I turned the Toyo on it waited about 5 minutes before giving me an EE 08 error message. The manual showed blower motor trouble and I was bummed so I called a friend. He gave me the following information he learned from a Toyo dealer as a "temp" fix until a more thorough cleaning can take place. Apparently stuff (crusties, ash and burnt debris) have a tendency to build up around the blower motor fan which causes it to get stuck. This is not the large visible fan on the back, but the smaller internal one. There is a rubberized hose leading to the larger fan and a smaller flexible stainless exhaust next to it, which is the one I was told to remove. Once you remove the flexible exhaust get a flashlight and look into the back and you'll see the fan (or only about the 1/3 of it which is visible). Take a pencil eraser and gently remove the build up between the exhaust slats. I also used my craftsman shop vac which fit nicely right over the hole to remove the debris. Once you have all the soot, crusties and stuff removed the fan should be spinning at warp speed when you remove the shop vac. This took my literally about 10 minutes to disconnect, clean and reconnect. About 8-10 minutes later the unit was working great! Hope this helps anyone having similar problems.

Toyo stove laser 30

EE22 means that your Toyo failed to ignite 3 times in a row. You need to unplug it for 30 minutes to reset the circuit board. Then plug it back in, push the red reset button on the right hand side in the little hole towards the back and push the Power button. Your Toyo should ignite after that barring some other problem caused by running out of fuel.

I am assuming that you ran out of fuel which caused the EE2 error code originally. Sometimes, when you run out of fuel you can get water, ice, debris in the fuel line causing an obstruction or limited fuel flow. You may also get an air lock. You may need to crack the fuel line at the back of the Toyo where there is 3/4 nut and bleed the line. If you see no fuel or a small quantity of fuel then you will need to thaw and/or purge the fuel line in order to get fuel to your Toyo's fuel pump. There is also a screen in the sump which can get plugged with rust, debris from the bottom of the fuel tank so you may need to clean the screen in order to get fuel to the pump.

Toyostove Laser 73 EE2

The firing sequence for a L73 is blink, blink, blink, on the green burner light, then it clicks up to the medium, amber or yellow light...that's when the pump kicks on. If you hear click, click, click, or thump, thump, thump, that means the pump is starving for fuel. The problem is from the carburaot/sump back to the fuel tank. You may have icing in your line or a line restriction, no fuel, plugged fuel filter or plugged sump screen. You can thaw your fuel line, until you have a free flow of fuel and then push the red restart button on top of the sump. Try to restart your Toyo.

If you follow the firing sequence and hear no click, click, click or thump , thump, thump and your Toyo goes off on EE2 then you can have a dirty flame sensor...the whilte wire running to a U shaped part that is the ground for the entire unit. You can take ythe ytwo phillips screws out, turn the part to the side and wiggle it out. Clean it qith a green scrubby or sandpaper and put it back in. Be sure it points stright down. Then take out the igniter which are the red wires. Put a long screw driver in there and rattle it around real good. You are trying to shake any carbon cxhains off the burner ring that can be "shorting" the flame sensor. You can also removee the 1/2 inch flare nut from the fuel nozzle...brass yellow colored metal part, and put a paper clip or wire down that about 3 inches. That will clear any blockage in front or inside it. Put everything back together, hit the red reset button on the sump and re-fire your Toyo. You might get it going in this manner. If not, you may need a tuneup because your Toyo is too sooted up to run correctly. Try these things and post back!
