Question about Ricoh Aficio 2022 All-In-One Laser Printer
Whenever i turn on my ricoh aficio 2022 this code apear and ask me to contact.......
error code is:
sc542
mach

SC 542 Basically the machine is telling you that the fuser did not reach its target temperature in a specified amount of time. In normal circumstances this code will apear if the thermistor is not maintained or replace periodically or in abnormal circumstance the heat lamp blew. This is a Service Tech reset code. You must go in service mode and then reset the SC/Jam in the service tables.
To prevent this:
1. Never start the machine if your office is far below room temperature. The machine.
2. Maintain the termistor

I had to replace the fuser kit. Am using a aficio 2020d and was getting the SC 542 error.

There is a fault at your fuser unit (Heater unit).Check thermistors therofuse or thermostat,

It started with change photoconductor error. We changed the photoconductor but the chnge photoconductor error message did not disappear in addition it now display SC542 error message
Lanier 5622- SC 542. Happened on 6 degree morning. Customer had heat turned down. I read on Smarka to reset: CLEAR, 107, STOP (HOLD FOR 3 SECONDS, turn off main power (under panel), then turn back on. Tried this 5 times, no cigar. Customer is CPA, & tax time here. Any help appreciated.-Doug
