Any card over 4gb will not be read by older computers. If you don't have a newer computer the SD card reader, avliable at walmrt under $10.00 will work.

You are taking a much more complicated route than necessary. Don't connect the camera to the computer for downloads. Instead, buy an inexpensive (less than $20) SD flash memory USB card reader. Plug it into your computer, remove the SD memory card from your L810 and insert it in the card reader. The computer will recognize your SD card the same way it recognizes any memory device. All you need to do is drag and drop your pictures from the SD card to a folder on your hard drive.

you call the computer expert to your home and then tell him this thing. he will give you the full idea about it. from my side it is the camera body.

Firmware update NEEDED.

When the camera acts strange it won't be the firmware. There must be another cause. Looking for other software for that camera is useless, because nobody will spent time to reprogram a point and shoot camera. When the camera is not working good, check if it is still under waranty and contact a Nikon certified repair centre close to you.

Nikon Coolpix s210 drivers

if the support guy toldy to by a reader i'm sure it's because that was the only solution. more than like ly the driver is obsolete and no longer available. i'm sure that this is not what you wanted to hear but unfortunately when it comes to new electronics versus older computer. there is always 1 or 2 problems that can't be overcome the conventional way. in general terms windows is always updating security patchs or registry fixes and they don't always include alot of the drivers from prior hardware. card readers are not that expensive anymore and probably will save you money and frustration in the long run. hope this helps. please rate this solution and good luck.

For a nikon coolpix 520--after a firmware update, I've got nothing on the setup screen (wrench) but the firmware version. How do I restore the setup screen items?

When you did everything correct for the update, the camera should be ok within a few minutes. Give it at least 10. There is no way you can undo the update process once it started. The camera needs a working camera, to do an update or upgrade. When it won't start again, you should contact a certified Nikon repair centre close to you and ask them what to do.

How can I get the latest firmware for Nikon D60

Go to the Nikon support at the Nikon website at www.nikon.com and look for firmware updates for your camera. There should be instructions as to how to download and install the updates in your camera. You will need the appropriate cord to connect your camera to the computer. Best I can determine the cords are standard so if you've misplaced yours, a similar USB cord that will fit your camera's port should work. You can also order replacement cords from Nikon.

RESET ALL Button

I'm convinced you already did read the user manual. There are three things you can reset:
1. User settings. In menu mode P, you can undo all the settings you made. Page 69.
2. Reset all settings. Page 151 Menu settings, chose the wrench symbol and chose reset all. All settings will be restored to factory settings.
3. Reset file numbering. Page 154 Menu settings, chose the wrench symbol and chose reset file numbering.
In the same menu is also the view firmware version. Yours should read Coolpix P90 Ver.X.X .
The latest update of firmware for the P90 is 1.1 Great chance your camera came with that revision already. If you registered your camera with Nikon, they will inform you when a new firmware is released.
Really, there is nothing more you can reset on the camera.
So if something is wrong, it can't be helped with the reset you have in mind, because that reset does not exist.
If you want the firmware 1.1, goto Nikon USA and support. Everything you want is there.

Pictures will not transfer from camera to computer. a message keeps popping up saying that Nikon Transfer Imagine has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have downloaded the latest update, same...

Your computer may have a problem. Try another computer - install the driver and then connect on it. In many cases with the new operating systems like Vista and Windows 7, the driver is not necessary to install - just plug it in and it should recognize the camera as another drive to access your pictures.

Nikon L100 shows battery exhausted error message after installing new batteries. Unable to perform any operations on camera

That's the bug in Nokin L100, update the firmware version from 1.0 to 1.1, this will solve the battery exhaust problem. Firmware version 1.0 has only 2 battery (Alkaline and Lethium) option where as Firmware version 1.1 has Nickle battery also. But, to update the firmware you need to have EH-67 AC Adapter to give power to the camera.

Nikon D200 problem with SIGMA 28-200 lens - works on one D200 and not my other

Sigma lenses sometimes need re-chipping for full compatability with certain Nikon camera. They are usually quite good about doing this gratis.
Try the Sigma on another body at the camera shop or at home (preferably and older AF film camera). If it works then its likely just a chip compatibility issue.
