SOURCE: Z4M is printing fine white lines in the barcode

As the label comes out of the printer...it sounds like your printing in picket fence mode (vertical bars). You most likely have 1 or more pixels out on the printhead...try cleaning first...if that fails... you will have to replace the printhead.

Try adjusting the darkness. It may be too dark.

We recently received another 9520 from Honeywell to replace a faulty one. For the non-tekkie, how do I configure it for use with library scanning for books?

Bar Codes The MS7120 can be configured by scanning the bar codes located in the MetroSelect® Single-Line Configuration Guide. This manual is available for download at http://www.honeywellaidc.com/site.aspx/na/en/product_center/product_support/?category=5&product=297

Ms9535 bt not reading barcodes.

I'm using the same Barcode reader, the Metrologic MS9535 VoyagerBT.

The brief humming noize is called a "Rasbery tone" in the manual. It means that the barcode reader is not configured to read that kind of barcode, a barcode Code if you will.

There are many types of barcodes so you have to go to the Metrologic Website and get the Barcode Configuration tool to configure your barcode reader to read the type of codes you will be using.

Alternatively there is a book with configuration barcodes you can scan to configure your barcode reader manually.

Removing leading zeros from barcode???

Prefix/Suffix Dialogs
The Prefix/Suffix Dialogs allows configuration of DataWedge options.
Two data entry fields are used to display and allow entry or editing of prefix and
suffix strings. The prefix string, if present, is transmitted before the data for any
barcode scanned. The suffix string, if present, is transmitted after the data for any
barcode scanned.
The following checkboxes are used to display and allow modification of various
DataWedge options:
Allow escapes in prefix/suffix (default = disabled)
Enabling this option allows escape sequences to be embedded in prefix and
suffix strings. Escape sequences allow non-textual data to be transmitted as
part of the prefix or suffix string. All escape sequences begin with the backslash “\”
character. The supported escape sequences are:
\b Backspace
\f Form feed
\n New line (line feed)
\r Carriage return
