Television shuts itself off. sometimes runs ok for a couple days, then shuts self off. sometimes will shut off 5 to 10 times within a half hour. my model # HLS5086WX/XAA, 50 inch rear projection high def.
I had the same problem with my set shutting off and was told it may be the ballast so i changed that but it still would start up and shut down after a few mins, then i was asked if the bulb had been changed and i had not, so i did change the bulb and have not had it shut down yet. :) (so try a new bulb)
