SOURCE: My Lenovo mouse won't work. It connects and registers but won't move? Is there any help?

Hello,

Try booting to safe mode and check if your mouse works inside safe mode.

Restart the computer and tap F8 until you see the options to boot to safe mode. Use the arrow keys to highlight either safe mode or safe mode with networking. Hit enter.

Once you are inside safe mode, check if your mouse works. If it works, then you just need to update the mouse driver. You can use RadarSync to search and install the update into your computer. You better use Safe Mode with Networking because RadarSync needs the internet or even the manual updating process needs an internet connection.

I hope this helps!

David

I have a hp nc6000 laptop. the pointer keeps freezing and moving on its own or sometimes moves very fast in the one spot if i touch the mousepad. i think there is also a problem with the actual mousepad,...

Hi,
There could be dust-dirt et,c under the Control Pad ? Most laptops, should Have A Specific Pointing Device Driver Installed. Check HPs Site. for A Driver for The Touchpad. A Computer Virus-Trojan Horse et,c. could Also Cause This. Downloading free anti-virus And Malware Software, May Help solve This.
I Recommend Malwarebytes, And Spybot search and destroy.
Failing This, the keypad should be removed-replaced With A New Or second-hand Part.
Did you try to use an external USB Mouse et,c. ?
Mike.

My mouse does not works properly/ it works slow, cursor makes little jumps, movement not smooth. Laptop samsung R40

Are you using it on a mousepad? If not, that is probably why you are getting jumpy and erratic movement. Put a mousepad underneath the mouse and you should see the cursor movement improve.

You can also adjust the mouse properties such as speed and control by going into the Control Panel and opening the Mouse applet.

Do you have the correct Dynex driver installed? If not, go to the Dynex website and download the driver for your mouse. Having the wrong driver (or a generic driver) can make a difference in performance sometimes.

Hope one (or all) of those solutions helps!

Cursor runs all over the screen w/o moving hp wireless mouse

Your mouse could be defective, but let's try a few things first. Try to remove any wireless devices close to it (i.e. wireless router)or try to plug it in a new USB port. Last thing try to use a very dark mousepad. The laser respond to reflection so any white on a mousepad combined with some sun light could result in a free for all mouse pointer.

Wireless mouse?

Try disabling the mousepad on the laptop. sometimes this is what causes the problem. Another reason might be the mouse batteries. If they are running low you might experience problems like that.
