I've tried new batteries and NOT alkaline batteries & still have a red light flash & camera turn on as soon as I try to use it. The computer reads that the camera is full charged when I check it! USE CRV3 LITHIUM OR NI-MH REHARGEABLE, TRY TO GET TWO IN A SLEEVE. SLEEVE REDUCES BATTERY MOVEMENT WHEN CLOSING LID, TO MAKE GOOD BATTERY CONNECTION CONTACT.

sounds like the battery is bad and not taking charge.replace battery attemp again if not then check for fuel, spark and compression.then c wat happens or wats not working any motor no matter how small or big has to hv those three things to run. hope this helps.
It sounds like the phone's battery is discharged. plug it in to your charger for 3-4 hours and try again, if not check your charger or USB lead by borrowing one or purchase a low cost one from eBay
Did you try taking the batteries out? If not, try that and then put them back in again. This might reset the camera back to normal. Also, try turning the dial. Make sure it is at the camera setting, then try shutting it off.
Further, move the dial to Set-up, and scroll down to the Reset all setting, press the right arrow and answer "Reset".
