How to record dvd in ordinary format?

I have pioneer 550H dvd recorder, i want to record dvd from my sony hdsr11 handy cam, i did recording, but i can not play that dvd in ordinary DVD player.I think its recording in high defination format.
In which mode i shoud record so i can watch on any DVD player?

I will presume it plays back fine on your dvd recorder.
In this case, you need to "finalize disc" for it to be playable on other dvd players.

Also, possibly, If you are using a dvd-ram disc, you must make sure that the dvd-player you are trying to use even supports dvd-ram. Most will NOT.

Also, Make sure you are not recording in VR mode. Only some very new dvd-players will support VR mode discs.

Make sure you have the right date and time set. You cannot set a timer program until you have the correct time and date set. Let me know if that helps.

You can use a card reader to transfer your file from your handycam to your computer. Remove the memory card in your camera and insert it to the card reader and insert it to your computer to transfer your recorded video.

Satelite tv through my dvr-550h

satellite tuners and DVDs have different remote,unless your using a universal remote with satellite tuner command available.to program recording, you'll need to program the time especially the allotment.then make sure you sat tuner is tuned to the station you want to record.after setting the time and station, its all set.you don't need the DVD's remote to change the channel.

Sony hi8 video cam trying to record onto cd's through Sony dvd pl

Yellow connection for camcorder is your video output, the other one is for audio. If your DVD recorder does not have composite video inputs you will have to get an adapter to attach to your yellow wire and the other end of adapter will go to your recorder. OK?
