Type "best free anti-virus of 2014" into your search engine. You will be presented with a variety of choices and lists by those who have reviewed the available free anti-viruses and how they are rated. Good websites to look for include 'bleeping computer', 'pc magazine' and 'cnet'. All of these will have what you are looking for. If you would like a personal recommendation, I would suggest you download 'bitdefender' or 'panda'. Avg Free Safe is a suitable anti-virus but be sure to download it from AVG itself and not through any third party. Also, there is a website named 'mostiwant' and they have recommended free computer security downloads with direct download links. Try there first and look for the free 6 month trial of Norton and install that as Norton is in the top 3 best anti-virus category. That's the one I use.
If you don't have a Anti Virus on your computer your asking for trouble. Most likely it came with Anti Virus, is it Current? Up-to-date? The best security is a informed/aware computer user. That said, a Good Anti Virus and Anti Malware can't hurt. When your Laptop isn't in use, turn in off. Unplug.
You can install free AVG anti-virus. It's one of the best anti-virus that I have used. Even its FREE VERSION can get rid of viruses. Be reminded though that there are some viruses that can't be removed with free anti-virus and you might need to purchase the full version or have your computer reinstalled and install a free or full version of anti-virus.
By the way, if I were you, I would install RadarSync in that computer after fixing it. It's a technician's software which can optimize your computer's performance. I have been using it together with a good anti-virus. Believe me, they work good together.
The best solution is to antivirus software despite that your computer is still vulnerable to any virus attach either but just surfing to internet or maybe you virus software is not up to date.
ave you done a full virus scan with up-to-date anti-virus software?
If you don't have any anti-virus software and you use the Internet, you
REALLY need to get some! My preferred anti-virus package is Norton
Anti-Virus but, if you want a free copy in a hurry, download AVG
Anti-Virus from www.grisoft.com - that's also excellent
You can install a different anti virus in your computer. I would recommend Avira, which is one of the best free anti viruses. You can also use Kaspersky 2010 anti virus.
Hope you have anti-virus and anti-spyware programs If so, boot your computer to "Safe" mode with networking. Update your anti-virus and anti-spyware programs. Then run the programs either one at a time or simultaneously (tip: run both programs twice). If this does not work, then the next best thing to do is to reformat your hard drive and re-install all your programs. Of course you'll need to back up all your pertinent files.
