Audiovox MMD102 10.2" LCD overhead monitor with dvd player. I have picture but no sound. What do i do?

if you still have your receipt, go back to best buy or contact audiovox (audiovox.com) and see if you can have it repaired under warranty.

try to re-solder the inverter transformer near the lcd.

If it's a Rosen dvd player the dvd will need to be put in the unit itself & not the unit in the dashboard! The dvd player mounted in the head ligning is a seperate unit from the stereo system fitted in your dashboard!
Sounds to me like you are putting a dvd into the dashboard stereo system which will play any audio through the car speakers...
Put a dvd into the Rosen unit itself & i am sure you will get a picture on the drop down screen! Remember that as far as i know all Rosen dvd players transmit the sound from the dvd to infra red headphones that should be included! Remember to check the batteries if you still can't hear any sound as they run down quick if the headphones are left on!

Tried all supported formats and used it as a slave untill it got hot enough to click back to its original state.

sound is okay, images can be seen but it's still to dark to see

Sometimes the displays can't be sent to another tv or monitor. Make sure that isn't turned on. Sometimes there can be a short in the wiring if your unit folds up to play like a notebook computer. You can try moving the screen back and forth and see if the picture changes. If neither of these solutions work, contact audiovox and see if it is cover under warranty.

There may be a toggle switch on the dash. siwtch it to on and tune into FM (88.7 or 89.1). Ours was 89.1. Hope this helps

It's a mechanical problem and the unit needs to be opened up and serviced by a repair shop.
