Panasonic NV-GS15 Mini DV Digital How to capture recorded video from Panasonic NV-GS15 Mini DV Digital to Laptop. I have Windows Vista and firewire port. I try to connect it with 4 pin but Movie maker doesn't detect it. Should I use some other firewire cable?
I too have panasonic nvgs15 camcorder
NOONE CAN DOWNLOAD VIDEO FROM CAM TO PC THROUGH THE USB CABLE BY ANY MEANS OR ANY SOFTWARE
BUT THHER R ONLY TWO WAYS
1. IF U HAVE A TV TUNNER CARD THEN CAPTURE VIDEO BY CONNECTING THE TV CABLE TO UR PC PROVIDED WITH THE CAM
2. OR IF U HAV A DV CARD (IEEE1986) IN UR PC THEN CONNECT UR CAM TO THAT PORT USING DV CABLE (NOT PROVIDED WITH CAM)
SINC THE CAM IS DV SO U NEED DV CABLE OR TVOUT POINT FROM THE CAM

Use USB data cable which u get with ur cam.Install the panasonic software also packed with cam.And get ur video copied to pc.But this is a slow process because of Movie copied while playing. Regards, Sandeep

I tried to do it but it on transfers pictures. I took my cam to some service centre and he connected to his pc with some firewire cable and it work. Can you suggest me what fire wire cable was it. Is it 4 or 6 pin.....?

i have the same problem of not being able to capture vedio from the camcorder (NV GS 15) on connecing with a DV cable and installing the software driver for the usb the computer cannot recognise my camcorder. it keeps giving the same message that... hte driver is not installed for the device!!! please help!!! my e mail id is [email protected]
I've lost the download cd that came with the NV-GS15 Mini DV Digital Camcorder. I can download the photos, but can't get to download the video footage. I need the program that will help to download the video fromm the camcorder to my laptop. The video tape does not play.

I have connected my NV-GS55 Camcorder to my firewire port on my laptop which is working but the 4 pin connector on the camcorder connects at first then disconnects so I cannot use windows movie maker to transfer from tape to computer.
