sir,
Something is blocking the LASER writing to the cyan drum, requires removing the cyan image unit and opening the protective cover of the LASER to clean the glass that it comes out of NO its not on with the image unit out and door open
Sir/Mam,
First did you clear the counter for the drum and developer before replacing them second did you run the required F 8 procedure if not need to buy new drum and developer. Start over the counters are cleared in service mode then you take the image unit out, then replace the drum and developer then re-install the image unit then run the the required F 8. ENSURE FAX LINE AND NETWORK cables are removed do not want a fax or print job to come in before running the f 8.
Hey there, You have one or two clogged lines. The result is not caused by the colour you are seeing, but the ones you are not.. Look in your printer settings on your computer and you should find a nozzle check option which will print a page with different colour lines. the colour that is missing is the culprit. Do a head cleaning function, and leave overnight. try again in the morning. The next step if required is to take small piece of cloth, soaked lightly with windex, and place in the small seating area for the print head, where it reside when it is not printing. Again leave overnight and remove the next day. Try again and repeat above mentioned steps if required. Have patience. It may take several attempts to fully clear. There is also the problem of a bad cartridge. You may need to replace the cartridge with a fresh one if problem persists.
Mam/sir
does this line appear if you put the original on the big glass and make a copy? If not then when you use the document feeder you do not use the big glass, you use the small glass check the small glass for dirt etc. and clean it. DO you print to this machine are prints OK? then narrows the field down. IF the line appears using the big glass check the image unit or the fuser the hot part can open the right door open the hot part Wait to let it cool down check that neither fuser roller has a scratch or line on it. for the image unit try to print and stop the machine by open the right door to try to catch the paper before it goes thru the hot part does you line appear if so image unit is bad .
Hello, these error stands for carriage motor driving error.
There can be few reasons...
worn ot or brake down of linear encoder ( transparent plastic with small black lines where the head carriage counts the position), try to clean it with non aggressive detergent
faulty linear encoder sensor on back of the head carriage
breakage of flat cable that goes from the head to dc controller pcb, in these case it also on the printed paper are"moved" picture
Join the Yahoo Group for Alps printers. There is a lot of information there. Have you cleaned the print head? Refer to the Users Guide for how to do it. Lines in the printer output can indicate a bad printer head.
