Charging port Hi! i believe my charging port has been disconnetded from main board due to lot of use. My question is can i replace only charging port without changing mainboard? And if i can, do i need any additional tool other than screwdrivers and of course a new port? Thanks a lot and sorry for bad english

It could be the eprom but its a difficult part to replace without a lot of soldering experience, I would change the board. Measure the PSON or PWRON, or how ever they have it labeled to see if you have a voltage change there when the power button is pushed.

We repair these A LOT! The jack is unbalanced on the Main Board and is easily detached by normal wear and tear. Soldering the jack back on to the board is a little tricky but the real repair is getting the port sturdy to prevent the issue from re-occurring.
We do a full repair by removing the old solder on the board and the jack then reattach using flux and fresh solder. We also stabilize the port so it doesn't happen again.

Take it to a pc repair shop and have it done professionally. If your motherboard wasnt damaged... it can be repaired :)

This is a much harder job than the average home user will be able to do. The entire notebook has to be taken apart. The charging port may or may not be built on the main system board which means maybe some fine soldering. There are a lot of companies that do this reasonably priced but depending on the age/value of the notebook you might look at just replacing it.

is the battery good? you could check and REFRESH it by discharging and recharging it many times in a row, as for the connector if it's directly soldered on the system board it can be replaced by an good experienced technician with the correct tools, if it is a connector with a peace of wire connected to the main board it is simpler for the user to change

It seems that the flapper breaks off or the spring cannot keep the drain port closed causing the water to drain as it fills,these are the usual defective parts.You might need to disassemble the pump and motor to get into the drain flapper area.

try another charger, if still doesnt charge, it means that the charging port on the main board needs to be replaced, very common with samsung
