I wanted to hear what the call block feature sounded like si I blocked my mobile phone number via the phone's call block feature. I thought I could un-block the number by using the same menu, unfortunately not. BTW, for those of you that are interested, the sound is an intermittent buzzing sound. Can you help me un-block the number? Thank you.

I have a similar Panasonic phone (KX_TGA101S). Someone must have inadvertently changed the dial mode on you. Here is how you change it on mine, which should be similar to yours. Hit the Menu button. Scroll down to "Set tel line" and hit the Menu Button (OK). If it isn't displayed, scroll to "Set Dial Mode" and hit the Menu Button. Select Tone instead of Pulse and hit the Menu Button. That should do it.

There have been infinite advances in cordless phone technology in the last 15 or 20 years. Since 20 years is a long time to have a phone, I would suggest replacing it with a new one. But, no matter how good your phone is, today's urban environments are a communication nightmare because of all the variable obstacles which can get in the way of radio wave propagation. The only solution appears to be a cellular phone whose systems are improving all the time to offer increasingly reliable service. But the cost of cellular is so high that some people have compared it to legalized organized crime; they know we need their service and they can charge whatever they want. I love my cordless phone, but even with all the modifications and improvements I have made, it is still severely limited. My only option has been to use my cellphone to remain mobile and this link has made the cost a lot more palatable: (http://www.3centcell.ca/admin/affiliate.aspx?314 )
I hope this is helpful to you.

That doesn't explain so well in a free forum. Try the features manual under TRS (toll restriction). COS (Class of Service) and Verified Toll calling. With restrictions, you set up a numbering plan that will bar mobile calls, then either verify and override, or alow only certain phones the ability to dial outside calls to those numbers. If you absolutely have to allow access to certain mobiles, you can add them to the Speed Dial tables where the call can be allowed by the fact it's in a speed call table.
It will take you 30-60 minutes to read and set up the programming.
