know this isn't what you want to hear, but the problem you've described
can't be fixed with troubleshooting. Your TV needs to be repaired.
There is a part that has developed a defect and needs to be replaced. The problem is the company that manufactured that TV (it wasn't Disney corporation) went out of business over a year ago. Consequently there are no parts available for anyone to repair the products they manufactured.

11/12/08 My 18 yo daughter took her Disney "Ramon" dvd player she received at Christmas yo college with her and I used the code a moment ago <play> 1234 <play> and it unlocked it for her immediately.... try it it might work for you as well! Good Luck!
