BURNING SMELL FROM BACK OF TV - LN Samsung Televison & Video

That tv is very close to catching on fire. UNPLUG IMMEDIATELY. When electronic equipment is old they dont just stop working sometimes. Sometimes the electrical current starts burning the wires and the dust inside. there is a definare odor to electronics burning or shorting out. smell around the air vents in the back of the TV. youll know if wires were burning its a distinct odor

After the projection lamp was replaced the tv work fine right?The burning smell,is the burning carbon from the dead projection lamp.

NO problems,Who care,might burning dust and grease that the smell.Take it aparts for a good clean with a air compressor.

This is very simple to repair if have burning parts smell,replaced parts that burning smell,the parts that cause by the burning smell part,make it to dies that hard to find.My sugestion replaced the DM power board,first to get power back,than go on from there.

there is a short-circuit in the tv.take it to electrician to get the inner wiring replaced.

contact a repairer ur wire inside tv has burnt

the fan might be block or stopped working

dont fear the smoke behind. firstly open your tv. get a brush and clean the in side,it might be other particals dropped in side.
you are able to see where the smoke is coming from.
a qualified tech will solve that without wasting time on it.

Power supply board it has 2 thyrisitors and needs to be resolder .

mine is doing the same thing but i was able to pinpoint it to a capacitor arching and smoking. haven't replaced it yet so i'm not sure if it's just a bad capacitor or a more involved issue.
