I need to change the bulb in my WD65731 dlp tv. I have taken the cartridge out. How do I get to the bulb. I repleced my lamp and still have no picture. Am still getting a "blinking" lamp light on front panel display. I belive there is a "lamp motor" and it was maing an ever increasing humming sound prior to my picture going out. Does the blinking "lamp" light on front display indicate a defective motor? How hard is it to replace the motor? Where is it located in releation to the lamp?

The blinking lamp light refers to the lamp door not being closed. There is a little lever behind the main panel and if that's not shut, the lever won't be pressed in and therefore the light blinks. If it's a failed lamp, the lamp indicator light will be a solid, not blinking.

I have a Samsung DLP HLP5663WX/XAA. I repleced the lamp, I turned on the tv, has sound, no picture, and turns off by itself in 20-30 seconds.

you may have a ballast fault which provides high voltage to your bulb or lamp door switch may be at fault check for continuity.

I need a lamp for Akai Model PT50DL24X/sms Lamp Code BP96-01472A (P132W) I need to find this lamp can you help? Akai does not answer e-mails & the phone is blocked ,Thanks

The bp96-01472 tells me the set was made by Samsung---lamp should be easy to find=============GOOGLE that number with the word lamp after it and you will find many places that sell it.

Two ways here, buy a generic "bulb", take the cartridge with the bulb apart etc, these generic lamps cost less but are no bargain as they usually have a shorter life span.

Get a lamp with the cartridge (bulb and housing) and your task will be easy.

Samsung bought the Akai name some years ago, all products with that name are Samsung.

When changing the lamp do not touch the glass face with your hands as any oil will cause the lamp to fail very quickly.

If you have any questions post a comment here and I will reply, the site will email me.

Turned on tv, no picture, only sound

the problem is likely the projection lamp .. you can replace that yourself if you are handy .. you must unplug the set and make sure everything is cool ...avoid getting finger prints on the new lamp ...here are a few places where you can get a new lamp ... you can also see what it looks like on this site ...

http://www.bluestar-online.com/Mitsubishi_Model_WD_65731_Replacement_DLP_Lamp_p/wd-65731.htm?gclid=CLb9k4zf-6ACFdk55QodwT3dxw

the lamp is likely in a cubby in the back of the set (where you used to see the bright light) ...

the lamp is mounted in a cage ... you can get the lamp already mounted in a new cage from here ...

http://purelandsupply.com/WD65731-Mitsubishi-DLP-TV-Bulbs.html

......it costs more mounted but its easier to change and you will need a new cage if yours is damaged .. from the site above you can see what the cage looks like with the lamp already mounted ..

your lamp is a model 915p049010 ... that is available thru amazon at a good price here:.(includes cage)........

I need to change the bulb in my WD65731 dlp tv. I have taken the cartridge out. How do I get to the bulb.

I have the same exact tv mitsubishi offers a one year warranty from the date of purchase the website is mitsubishi.com and if you don't have anymore warranty you have to pay $250.00 for the bulb. I didn't have the warranty anymore so I went to a website bluestar-online.com and I paid $129.00 for a WD65731 bulb and free shipping 2-3 days. Hope this helps.

Hewitt Packard high definition DLP tv Product #EX543AA#ABA need part, hp no longer carries them.

I have a brand new L2114a lamp for sale. I paid 299 plus shipping on ebay but it turned out to be the wrong one (despite what the manual says). I ordered the correct one I needed from HP. I am willing to part with it for 200. I can send pictures of the lamp and the box and the reciept. This is a BRAND NEW LAMP.

This lamp works in the following televisions and replaces the lamps listed below:
