Kohler Cimarron elongated comfort height toilet not flushing correctly

I installed a toilet it is a kohler cimarron with the pf/2 assembly in the tank. I can't get it to flush all the time and its not clogging? We have the same problem. We have 2 identical toilets. One works fine. The other works intermittently, but mostly doesn't work correctly. It gets low water in the toilet bowl, the water gurgles when it is finished flushing and other various behaviors. Any ideas? I don't think it's plugged, but my plunger doesn't work anyway. It won't seal around the opening. Is there a special plunger for this toilet? Or could it be a component problem within the tank? Any help is appreciated!

The toilet is near the kitchen. This bathroom has been there for 20+ years, so I don't think that's related, but who knows. This is a fairly new toilet (installed last fall), and this is a more recent occurance (since maybe March). However, at the moment, it has reverted back to normal flushing with a full toilet bowl of water. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Thanks for replying. At the moment, the toilet has reverted back to normal flushing with a full toilet bowl of water (no more gurgling either). I'll keep my fingers crossed! If it occurs again (or when I get access to a ladder), I'll get up on the roof and check out the vents - I never thought of that as a potential problem!

Low water in the bowl is only caused by the float being to high! the gurgles is Usually because of air coming back up through the pipe, check your vent pipe that come out the roof. this will help the draining.

I just went though this same issue.
My issue was that the refill tube was out of place. When I put it back in place, the water level in the bowl came up and the burp went away.

We bought a Kohler Cimarron complete solutions 2 pc. toilet about 2 months ago and now it doesn't want to flush properly. The toilet fills half way up with water instead of just wooshing down like it...

Hi,
Before taking it out you need to go back to Lowe's and purchase a toilet auger....
With this you can crank it down through the trap of the toilet and remove the obstruction...there is something in there that a plunger will not remove...example...a pen or pencil... comb...these are commonly removed when I het the symptoms you are giving...

BRand new elongated Cimarron shoots water out of bowl durng flush

Is the fill line in the tank loose? Does it just shoot water into the tank itself? I had this issue until I realized the while fill tube is supposed to be pushed into the black cylinder/small plastic tube in the middle of the stopper assembly. After i pushed the line into the tube, the bowl would always only fill a little bit. Now it fills almost a 3rd of the way up the bowl and doesn't bubble during flushes.

Kohler 1-piece flush valve seal replacement.

That is a tricky one. Tighten the tabs, twist into place, then tighten a bit more. They are a pain in the a$$, but with patience you will get it done. Good luck
