Error message "to print in color, install the following cartridges:" continually comes up after installing new cartridge.

Error message : ink cartridge empty problem description: The error message is, "To print in color, install the following cartridges "Magenta". To print with black ink oly, click black only. The printer will replace colors with grayscale. To cancel pressthe cancel botton on the printer. If empty ink cartridge is not replaced soon, all printing will stop." troubleshooting : I replaced the cartridge and aligned the printer. The error message still pops up. setting changes : If I hit the "Black only" button, itprints normaly even in color.

On ours the cartridges click twice to be fully seated..there are 4 cartridges in this one.. if one is not all the way down, it will error..in extreme cases if all the cartridges are in place..unplug the unit and reboot it..

SOURCE: Photosmart 7360 - replaced magenta cartridge. BUT

Deleted the printer and let Windows USB re-install it. Problem fixed.

slowly off and on the printer for five times without cartridge, printer saves data of cart of last 5 only so next time it reads full ink..

My Dad bought new ink cartridges ( black and color) and installed them in the printer and it is not registering that they are installed. What are some things I should check for and how can I fix this????

After installing new ink cartridges in your Dell all-in-one 926 printer, you may receive an error message telling you the print does not recognize the new cartridges. Refilled or third-party cartridges, which Dell does not recommend using with the 926, often trigger the error message. You may also receive this error after you have been using the same ink cartridges for some time. Whether the cartridges are new or not, the error can be caused by a number of sources. Following the steps below should clear up print cartridge problem.

    Open the Dell 926's front cover with the power on and wait for the cartridge carriage to come to a stop. Remove the ink cartridges by pressing on the tabs at the top of each cartridge. Check the cartridges to make sure you have removed all of the blue protective plastic film. Look for the "Dell" logo stamped into the cartridges' lids to ensure they are genuine cartridges.

    Clean the shiny metal portions of the ink cartridges with a damp microfiber cloth. Allow each cartridge to dry completely.

    Clean out any paper, staples or other debris that you may be able to see, then reinsert the cartridges into their appropriate slots. Put the black ink cartridge into the left slot and the color cartridge into the right slot. Make sure both click back into place.

    Close the Dell 926's front cover and turn off the printer. Unplug the power cord and USB cable from the printer for five seconds, then reconnect them.


  • If your Dell 926 fails to recognize the print cartridges after following the above instructions,

    take it to a repair shop for servicing.

    Epson cx3200 printer has printing problem

    You can diagnose most problems by checking the control panel LED's for ink out, paper-out or copier problem.
    If a problem occurs while you're printing, you'll see an error message in the progress window on your computer.
    It may also be helpful to try running a printer nozzle check.

    See the following message problems and solutions:

    Cartridge Error message on our Lexmark X5150

    The Lexmark machines are designed to kick out anything it suspects may be refilled. If your old cartridge has bad print nozzles this may be tripping the error. Printers are typically for sensitive with their color cartridges anyway because the manufacturers make more money on the color ones. You can try looking around the settings on the machine and in the printer preferences to see if you can tell it to ignore the ink levels and see if you can continue to print.

    1. Power off your All-in-One and unplug it.
    2. Plug in your All-in-One again and turn it on.
    3. Uninstall and then reinstall your cartridges.

    Will not print. color ink cartridge light keeps

    ..."Open the ink supply andgently move the ink cartridges to the left. Then reach in to the rightside and you'll find a small (1/2 x 1 inch) sponge.     Have put in a new colour cartridge but the note on the printer comes up error 50C

    CanonPIXMA iP90 Color Ink Tank installation problem

    yeah it sounds like a cartridge sensors are stuck or broken. i would say to replace the whole print unit. It will need a service support dealer to fit this part unless you can buy it and fir it yourself.

    I just like to ask to where specifically you can see the red light. It will help us determine what cause the red light. To give you heads up as well, the Printer's LCD screen can help us determine what exactly the offline condition of the CX3200 is:
