Hi Jennifer,
Settings of bass, treble and equalizer is a matter of personal choice. You can set them to your liking. Alternatively you can choose the sound mode ( like music, movie and theater ) of your choice. The balance setting off course must be in the middle or zero position so that both the speakers give equal amount of sound. In equalizer the extreme left column represents the low frequency sounds like the sound of drums. As you move rightwards the sounds go on becoming finer and finer and the extreme left column represents the fine sounds of the instruments like violin and sitar. Somewhere in the middle is there is human voice also. Play some music, try varying each column and see the effect. Good luck.

How to reset equaliser?when i turn up the volume the sound has too much bass. I fot JVC RX-5042 audio reciever .

To reset the equalizer settings on a JVC RX-5042 audio receiver, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Press the "Menu" button on the receiver.
  2. Use the arrow buttons to navigate to the "Sound" menu, and then press the "Enter" button.
  3. Use the arrow buttons to navigate to the "Equalizer" option, and then press the "Enter" button.
  4. Use the arrow buttons to navigate to the "Reset" option, and then press the "Enter" button.
  5. Press the "Menu" button to exit the menu and save the changes.
This will reset the equalizer settings to the default values. If you continue to experience issues with the bass level when the volume is turned up, you may need to adjust the equalizer settings manually. To do this, follow the steps above to access the equalizer menu, and then use the arrow buttons to adjust the levels of the different frequency bands (bass, mid, treble, etc.) to your liking.
I hope this helps! If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.

I need to adjust bass and treble on the 65uk 7500 model

  1. Turn on your LG 65UK7500 TV and ensure it is connected to a video source.
  2. Press the "Settings" button on your TV remote. It is usually represented by a gear or cog icon.
  3. Use the arrow buttons on the remote to navigate to the "Sound" or "Audio" settings. Press the "OK" or "Enter" button to access the sound settings.
  4. In the sound settings menu, you should find options for adjusting various sound parameters, including bass and treble. Look for options like "Equalizer," "Audio Settings," or "Sound Mode."
  5. Select the option that allows you to adjust the bass and treble settings. It may be labeled as "Bass" or "Treble."
  6. Use the arrow buttons on the remote to increase or decrease the levels of bass and treble according to your preference. Some TVs may use numerical values, while others use a graphical representation.
  7. Once you have adjusted the bass and treble settings to your liking, press the "OK" or "Enter" button to save the changes.

I have no control of bass or treble on my yamaha rx-v992, is this a settings issue or something else?

Maybe bass and treble settings OR the volume control IC has gone bad. Basically, all analog signals processed by DAC fed from DSP will enter this IC for bass and treble control. If it is bad, no bass and treble control can get. You should bear in mind that the setting of bass and treble is good before checking the volume control IC.

Hey! I have a problem with my sony MDR-RF81 headphones....when the bass is to loud...there volume is droping...when I listen to skirllex for example...the volume is high or low...but when the bass...

Hey there, the problem with your sony is not a hardware problem, the headphones are completely fine, its the amount of bass you are putting into the headphones, there are two solutions to this, if you're using a mobile device (Apple, android etc...), go to your app store and download an equaliser e.g poweramp, with this, you can adjust the sound going through to your headphones using the built in equalizer (usually 5-10 bands, research this if you have no knowledge of equalisers), you can use this to turn down the bass frequencies in the sound, or the only other thinkable options are if you are already have an equaliser in use, turn it down, because putting all of the bars to the top makes the sound horrible, research on some suggestions for equaliser presets (another word for equalizer settings), or just turn the volume down.

the reason this happens is because bass naturally overpowers treble, and if it is too loud, the treble and mids will be significantly quieter, headphones are a menace for this, so all you have to do is tweak the sound a little (using an equaliser) to find that perfect balance between the different elements of sound.:-) :-)

Hope this helped mate :-) :-)

What are good settings to have to make the music sound clear for a jvc KD-R310 deck?

you will need to access the bass and treble setting on the unit.
If you have stnadard speaker then dont put the bass to high as you can not turn the volume up high.
The same for the treble.
Set them at about the same and turn the volume up until it sounds good.
If it is to quiet then turn the treble and bass down and then the volume up more

I can't figure out how to adjust the bass on the JVC KD-HDR30.

Hello hawk713, Like with many other JVC receivers, adjusting the bass is done from the "EQ" (equalizer) mode for one or all of 6 presets: ROCK, CLASSIC, JAZZ, HIP HOP, POPS, and USER. To adjust it, select the desired preset mode, use the left/right rocker (on volume control) to scroll to the desired frequency, 60, 150, 400, 1K, 2.4K, 6K, and 15K, and then turn the volume control up/down to set a level from -5 to +5. 60 and 150 adjusts the bass, 400, 1K, and 2.4K adjusts the midrange, and 6K and 15K adjusts the treble. Then you select whichever EQ setting sounds best with the particular music you're playing. Hope this helps.
