I had a customer do this, the console is no good. You need to replace the console. Post the model number and I might have one for you. I have spare console around my warehouse.
Seems like the voltage was to high and took out the console. a replacement console is needed

usually when you let the smoke out your done, but if it seems to be OK, I would just run (ellipe) with it. The board is probable damaged but working, you might of burned a few contacts, sniff around. You can take the covers off and look but if they are burned bad you might just finnish it off. How long it lasts can't be determined, but it is just a matter of time before it goes.

Detachthe ends of the pedals from the crank axles. Spread a layer of machine greaseover the crank axles, then reattach the ends of the pedals.2
Removethe bolts connecting the pedals to the swing arms. Detach the pedals from thearms, then spread a layer of machine grease over the axles on the swing arms.On some models, the bolts may also serve as the axles. Reattach the pedals tothe arms.3
Removethe bolts connecting the swing arms to the elliptical's upright. Detach theswing arms from the upright, then spread a layer of machine grease over theaxles on the upright. Reattach the arms to the upright.

1) Measure the outlet plug with another device such a lamp desk 115Vca.
2)If there are voltage with the lamp , the problem is with the fuse+c.breaker in your treadmill.
3)If there are NOT voltage with the lamp, the problem is c.breaker from your house Reset.
4) If after you reset there are NOT voltage again, the problem is the wires had been isolated with the paint, You must take out the paint, for to conduct the electricity to the outlet, and try again with the lamp desk
