If this has active circuitry, one of the wires is the cutoff for the power supply from the battery. The other two are black for ground and either white or red for signal.

SOURCE: Peavey 115 Low hum Low volume from input

The preamp section has a problem. It could be anything in the preamp but is OFTEN the input jack itself. They take a lot of abuse.

Also the insert jack contacts that forward the preamp to the power amp if no external FX are used can go bad.

Additional things are circuit board cracks caused by rough handling and also controls that have had the knobs mashed in which can destroy the potentiometers they are connected to.

How do I hook up to the Jacks on Peavey 115h speakers

You would come from the output connectors on whatever amp or powered mixer you're using to the full range 1/4" phone jacks on the back of the speaker cabinet.

My Peavey Bandit 112 is only working with an

It could be the wire[s] to the internal speaker or a dirty contact on the 1/4 inch female speaker output jack. Try pushing a 1/4 inch male plug in and out of the jack a few times. Or, you'll need to remove the chassis to look inside. My email address is [email protected] if you have any further questions.

Peavey sp2xt speakers horn makes no sound when plugged into normal input. Horn works fine when plugged into the high side of the crossover.

High side speaker input jack defective, as they are switch also and if you plug the wire from the amp in full range and no hf sound but connecting directly to the bi-amp hi does, then your female 1/4 plug at crossover is defective for sure.

Hey, I have a peavey 6505 112+, the channel switch is failing , when i press the jack input , i mean pushing it, it works, but when im not doing that, it just doenst switch from clean to lead. and its...

Classic case of switch failure. Before you do anything, get a can of aerosol contact cleaner and spray it into the space between the switch and the faceplate - the cleaner needs to go inside the switch; then push the button several times to try and clean the contacts. That may solve your problem. Good Luck

No sound in horn when plugged in bi amp connection

The question is whether or not you get any sound from the horn when in full-range. If so, then either the input jack for the horn is defective, or you are not passing the signal. A quick check would be to send the full-range signal (at low volume) to the high-freq input. You should hear the horn work. If not then the connector is defective on the crossover board.

If you get no sound from the horn in any configuration, then the coil is blown for the horn. This can be replaced. It is usually a 22a or 22ti diaphram

Let us know what you find.

I have a peavey SP4XT Cabinet . the cross over network has a bi amp input for HF and LF jacks and these work for both LF HF output . Also on this network is two input quarter inch jacks for full range...

The chokes blocks high frequency, the capacitors block low frequency. You would need a digital multimeter to check for continuity. Make sure none of the resistor is burnt, which may not be obvious.
