It is common that after a power interruption the modem must reset to regain it lost signal
Try restarting the modem by either turning off the power button, or plugging out the modem power.
If the internet still frequently disconnects, it is most likely your ISP's (internet service provider) problem. Call them up with this issue, and they should either re-activate your internet for you, or give you a replacement modem for free.

when the item name as modem/router. it means the main function is modem with added router function.
you can't connect 2 router/modem together. both need access to the internet and IPS for it function correctly.
however, you can connect 1 modem and one router.
The 5360 is techncially a bridge, not a modem, so it doesn't require software drivers for installation and operation. There is a 5360 firmware upgrade, but it should only be used in certain situations -- see Related Articles at right for further information.
