WIllnot Turn On

Have made sure that the filter cover is closed tightly and the lamp cover is closed tightly and the switches to both of these doors are working properly. Power goes all the way through the fuse, so the fuse is good. The projector jus will not turn on

SOURCE: Sony CS5 Wont turn on

the cover switch is probably not fully made.
Ensure that the cover tangs are pushing the pin
on the miniswitches.
Try putting slight pressure on the fan or lamp cover to see if the lamp/cover light
stops flashing.
you will need to do a restart on the PJ to check this out

SOURCE: Projector turns off after 30 seconds.

I had the same problem I replaced the motor/lense cover unit at the cost of $AU140.00 and that fixed it.

SOURCE: Lamp Cover will not close fully

Hi there

Your lamp is not properly inserted.

The lamp door should close easily if your lamp is in correct.

If teh lamp door is not closed properly then the mashine will keep on shutting down.

SOURCE: Lamp cover light flashes even with new lamp

Look closely by the cover there is a small sensor there, could be a pice of dirt and door not completely closing get a cleanpaint brush or little brush and clean area..Good Luck

Must be a "switch" like a dryer door switch on the filter access door or panel that says it's not closed. Doublecheck, look for a plunger type of switch and make sure cover is making the switch
close or turn on.

Make sure that the lamp cover is properly seat-in, it has a safety switch that will engage to lamp door cover to make itself in close position, if it is in open the unit will not power up....

I was given this model tv. The green and red lights on the front are flashing. Says to replace bulb and close lamp cover correctly. I am missing the lamp cover. Is that going to be a problem?
U mean the Lamp door cover?Yes?Tv might work,might not.Don't know never tries to turn the tv on before without a Lamp door cover close before.There is a blue safety switch though must be press down when the Lamp door cover is close.Test it out.Why don't u just take a piece of tape and tape that blue safety switch down tightly,than turn on the tv.If the tv message that said close lamp cover correctly disappear.Than yes the tv will work,without the lamp cover closed.Now u just needed to do a replacement of the tv projection lamp only that all.

your projectors lamp cover may be open. or there is some thing happened (may be contact problem) with the lamp cover open sensing switch. just open the door and close it. and then try again.

Will not power up and the lamp light is flashing. I have replaced the lamp and have the same problem.
Recheck the projection lamp installment again,make sure all the connections inputs are tightly and correctly connected.When u closing the proctive tv projection lamp door,make sure u don't hit the blue reset switch button and close the door properly and make sure screws it in to fit correctly and tightly.Follow these steps,should get ur tv back up and running again.

Sony kdf e50 a60 when TV is turned on picture goes off almost immedately and red light starts blinking in stand by mode.
Red light blinking is an indication of lamp problem. Check and secure tightly the following:
  1. Outside lamp cover
  2. Lamp door
  3. Lamp
If all of the above does not solve the problem, you need to replace the lamp. Let the lamp to cool for 30 minutes after unplugging. Use XL-2400 replacement lamp.
  1. Remove the outside lamp cover.
  2. Remove the lamp door.
  3. Pullout the lamp
  4. Hook a finger through the loop of the lamp handle and pull the handle upwards. Then pull the lamp straight out.
  5. Mount the new lamp securely.
  6. Reattach the lamp door. Turn the knob back to "CLOSE" and secure the cover.
  7. Put the outside lamp cover back in its place.

Viewsonic pj551 projector lamp will not light
Without more info, I'll tell you some things to check...Make sure the power cord is still plugged in firmly. With the unit unplugged, check the lamp for damage, looseness, etc. Was the unit hot when you moved it? If it was, the lamp was more prone to damage due to the heat. Always be VERY gentle if you have to move a hot projector for any reason. Did the unit sustain any hard impact while moving? Impacts crack boards, loosen connectors, and damage lamps. Make sure the lamp door is closed completely--there is a switch on the door to prevent the projector from coming on if the door is open. Make sure you didn't press any buttons on the unit too hard while holding it during moving.
