Question about Sharp XR-10X Multimedia Projector

New bulb in now wont work - no power - wont turn on to reset lamp

Sharp projector xr-10x-l - tried to change bulb - bulb purchased was to be for that projector - was larger - fit whithout some of the other brackets that held the smaller bulb - plugs in - fits it seems - but now when plugged in i cant even get power to come on now to reset the lamp any ideas?

First, make sure you have the correct lamp. the lamp for the xr-10x-l looks like the xr-10x, but the plugs are different (common mistake). make sure you have the AN-XR10L2/1, not the AN-XR10LP/1. to reset the lamp timer (with the projector plugged in but off), hold down the enter, down arrow, and menu buttons and press the power.

Check your air filter, maybe it's all dusty and makes poor air cooling, and you need to reset time (hour) counter in projector menu

I have replaced the lamp on my sharp xr-10x L. I cannot get the bulb to turn on I have lights so there is power but the lamp is not on.
You must reset the lamp timer. Check the manual or sharp website for instruction how to reset the timer after changing the lamp

Sharp XR-10X projector. Makes a loud whirring noise when trying to turn on. Bulb starts to turn on then doesn't. It's not the fans because I opened up the projector, disconnected the fans and it still...
the colorwheel motor bearings are starting to go. you'll need to replace the colorwheel. you can get the part from a sharp service center and do it yourself or send it to one for repair. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com

I have a sharp xr-10x projector. The replace lamp light came on but the lamp still works. Understanding the inevitable I order a generic equivalent lamp because that is all that is available. Problem is...
You should consider using original lamp from sharp before some generic lamp destroys the ballast or power supply of the projector.

Hi, my Sharp XR-10X bulb was blown and was changed. Now on attempting to power up the projector, the power LED comes on steady (green) and the lamp LED flashes (green). after a few seconds both LEDs are on...
reset the lamp timer. unplug it and plug it back in. hold down the enter, down, and menu buttons, then press the power button.

Cannot remove lamp assembly from Sharp XR-10X projector
flathead screwdriver under the lamp handle from the front and a sharp push down on the screwdriver handle (but don't break it) will dislodge it. it wedges in there pretty good.

Sharp XR-10X Bulb works once then nothing
this is something which sharp didnt foresee!!!!!!!!!!
sharp has two identical models
sharp xr10x & the newer model xr10xl.both the lamps look alike , however both have a different rating & reverse connector!!
i.e both cannot be interchanged!however if u have the old xr10x & if u try to fit the new bulb which is lower in wattage, it will explode in 20 mins
if you have bought a used projector , then u wont know if someone has interchanged the ballast!!
as this model was discontinued 2 years back!!!!
so confirm the model , it is mentioned under sharp name or at the bottom

Sharp XR 10X lamp replacement issues
I sent mine in. They changed the bulb and cleaned the unit. The one thing they did suggest that seemed helpful was to upgrade the firmware. They did this as part of the service. That may be your problem, but I don't know that the firmware is upgradable. Yes indeed, they do charge an outrageous price!! I went through Sharp because they would guarantee the work, and I didn't want to buy two bulbs.

Projector won't turn on. We have a Sharp Notevision projector, model XR-10X. We also have a model XR-11XC. They both have the same problem. (We recently bought the XR-10X, used, to replace the XR-11XC.) We bought the 10X because it uses the same bulb. The problem that both of these projectors have is: they simply stopped working right in the middle of an event. We tried a different bulb, hoping that might solve the problem, but they won't even turn on.
