Clutch for paper feed system might be dirty and require cleaning, will be hard to get to. You do have a legacy machine from Minolta.

SOURCE: Paper Feed Problem
I had this same problem - you could hear the printer "trying" to pick the paper up. After a few cycles it would stop and pop up the media jam error. I noticed this would never happen when the try was half to completely full - only when the stack was low. I pulled put the paper, inserted a feather duster, applied some elbow grease (or wrist in this case) - problem solved.

pleas check the driver settings, maybe there is a setting fit to paper or something.
SOURCE: Can't print onto thick card
In your print driver, you need to go to the Printer Features -> Media 1 window and specify "Thick 2" and then go back to the main print window and specify Paper Feed "Tray 2" Then go to the copier,, place the stock into tray 2 and match the paper setup for that tray on the copier to "Thick 2" for tray 2.
Basically, both the Mac and the copier need to match paper types and feed tray.
