Question about TruTech PVS12701 Portable DVD Player

1 Answer

Need Replacement AC Adapter

The AC adapter for the TruTech Go Anywhere (portable) 7" DVD Player broke near the plug that goes to the DVD player (not the plug into the wall). It's so close, that we can't fix it. We went to Radio Shack to see if they carried a replacement, but they didn't, and the only comparable thing we found was to purchase the cable and the adapter in two separate parts, costing roughly $30! Does anyone know of a cheaper replacement part? Does TruTech sell replacement AC adapter cables? did u find one i need one too

Go to:

You need to input the correct voltage, amperage, the correct polarity, the correct outer diameter of the plug, the correct inner diameter of the plug. Don't worry about the input voltage, 117, 120, and 125 are all the same.

Power Cord

I don't know where you live, but if you're in the US you're probably near a Radio Shack store. They have a good selection of replacement AC adapters (fondly called "wall warts"). You need to select one that has the appropriate voltage and current rating for the player, and a tip that fits the power jack with the proper polarity. RS sells adapters that have tips that plug onto the adapter cable so you can get what you need.

You can also check on eBay. As of right now (3:47PM Feb 7 2009) this auction is running for what you need:
