Whistling My refrigerater makes a low whistling-type noise every so often coming from the back, bottom of the unit.I checked and the unit is level, and the coils in the back are very clean. The unit itself works fine, but the noise is very annoying.Any ideas?

The first thing is to make sure you are not low on transmission fluid. I would expect more a whining noise than a whistling. But the slower shifts may definitely indicate a low fluid level and/or fluid that is long overdue for a drain and refill.
A whistling noise can be generated by an alternator at high RPM's and indicates a slip ring brush problem or a diode failing . It resembles a frequency whistle.. IT may also be from a leaking gasket and a partially blocked exhaust system from a failed cat converter and at speed and power, the exhaust gas is forced out the hole
I don't think your whistling is related to your chain adjustment. What else might be whistling ... helmet ... ???Did you change anything else? Was your chain loud before and possibly covered the noise you are now hearing?
You might check the pulleys that the serpentine belt runs on. Make sure all are free wheeling and not loose or rough or make noise. You would need to remove the belt to check them.
Hello not alot of info to go on, but does it idle high when put in drive? Sometimes a whistle can be a vacumn leak, and sometimes it can be a belt pulley whistling. Good Luck
Check the protective backing plate for the brakes to see if its bent. Look at the opposite side to get a good idea what it looks like to bend back into shape if so. If bent they will create a noise or whistle effect
a couple of things could make the tv chassis whistle 1 coud be dry solder joint probably on power capacitors 2 IF your tv has tube the board on the back could be making the noise its to do with the yoke on the way out!
