Pics on the Internet show that this mobo has an audio line connector, but mine does not. How can I connect the audio line from the DVD to the mobo? Thanks for your help.
Connect the audio to the back of the PC (Green connector)
Click on the speaker in the task bar and check volume level using the mixer settings
The connector from the DVD is not a 1/8 th inch plug, which is what is needed
The audio line from the DVD has a motherboard connector, not the 1/8" plug that would go into the green slot at the rear of the computer. DVDs connect to the mainboard, not to the speaker outlet. I don't know why there isn't an audio connector on the mainboard.
new internal DVDs can use S/PDIF, I still the rest of my solution should work, and make sure you go into Devide Manager make sure the driver is install for your device
I have two internal blu ray players and they use S/PDIF no connectors to the motherboard
Also check to see if your internal dvd player has switches to change to SPDIF and if it doesnt check your manual to see if their is a setting in properties to set it--Does it allow for firmware updates?
Thanks, Charles. I discovered that the mobo is bad, so I'm stopping all work on this. It's OK to close this thread out. Thanks again.
