Pioneer DEH-P8400bh USB error 23 - Pioneer Deh-p8400bh Cd/mp3/ Receiver W/ Bluetooth Ipod Iphone Usb Dehp8400bh

They wont read a GPT partition, you can make a drive an MBR drive but it pretty much has to be done when first creating the drive or it has to be wiped to be recreated. The drives under Windows 10 default to the wrong partition type. ORhttps://www.thewindowsclub.com/convert-m...

In the manual Error 23 states the USB stick is not formatted with the FAT16 or FAT32 filesystem, which is the only supported filesystems supported on the unit.

Pioneer Model: DEH-P8400BH, USB port goes inactive

It's possible that the head unit's USB port or the wireless phone charger is no longer functioning properly. You can try the following to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Disconnect the wireless phone charger and test the USB port by connecting a different device. If the other device doesn't charge, the USB port may be faulty.
  2. If the USB port is working, try a different wireless phone charger. If it still doesn't work, the issue could be with the wireless phone charger.
  3. Check the car's fuse box for a blown fuse related to the head unit.
  4. If all else fails, contact Pioneer or a professional car audio installer for further assistance.

The 16 pin from receiver diogram

Hello Lon Delaney,

I'm not actually seeing a question here... Nor make/model/year...

but I can easily deduce you are in wonderment how to meld these many wires... with your existing world (I suspect).

if you do NOT own your own drawings... (which I strongly recommend to anyone who is going to keep a vehicle for a while)... you can (highly likely) access some quite EXGUISITE drawings at BBB Industries web site. EULA (end user licensing agreements) need be settled (as with everything technical in todays world)... but their technical drawings & service bulletins are very well worth the exposure...

For your own sake... and any subsequent VEHICLE owners/users (or repair folks)... I would STRONGLY recommend you use
factory connector plugs and fully mimic your existing wiring where possible...

The AFTER MARKET APPLIANCE manufactures... support some makes...but (car manufacturers are deliberately EMBEDDING proprietary wiring into increasingly complex systems)...

Crutchfield supports it all...

Avail yourself of their expertise & custom equipment...
They were the ones that honestly told me my LINCOLN Navigator was a pretty ugly system... but I could indeed get a 3SIXTY3 unit to accomplish what I was after.

Good luck with yours.

See Crutchfield right here (below)...

My DEHp8400bh only connects to my htc evo4g sometimes and other times it reads no service. please help

I've found that I need to have my phone on with Bluetooth enabled before the head unit powers on (i.e.starting the car). If it's already started I just pop the faceplate and snap it back in to power cycle the head unit. At that point Bluetooth always connects properly.
