Emergency Only I do have my sim card in correctly and it still says emergency only. I made some calls and received calls yesterday. But today it will not work.

Airplane mode - switch Airplane Mode on and then after a few seconds switch it back off. Check the SIM - if your cell phone has a SIM card then make sure that it's inserted correctly, that it's clean and functioning properly. Check the phone carrier signal strength, if it is extremely low, then you may get that notification.
Next check your SIM card, try powering off the phone and reinserting it.
Try swapping it with another card to check, if you can. If the SIM card is not reading, then you may also get the emergency message.
If the phone works with an alternate card then you may have a faulty SIM card.

When you say "Emergency Screen", do you mean the dialer that you can access when your phone is behind the lockscreen? In that case, press the back button to exit. If you're restarting your device and are only able to make emergency calls, your SIM/RUIM card may be dislodged. Power down your device, remove it, and re-insert it before powering on again.

Usually "emergency call" status occurs when the bill has not been paid, secondly, when the phone of the receiver(one you are trying to call) has no any signal,and your sim is loosely fitted-you can clean it using soft and dry cloth and its contact area, you can also put a thin bit of card behind your sim card.

I beleive you have to contact t-mobile to sink the sim card...

try putting your sim in the #2 sim slot and try it

give phone a reset.....or change network settings..

Phone is horrible.... I've been fighting w/ it for a year!!! I get the "emergency calls only" EVERYDAY .... the only way to remove it & get phone working again is to turn off. I have also removed the battery, & cleaned the sims card several times, still no help!! I have already done a warranty exchange and problems are actually worse than before. I never had so many dropped calls or "emergency only" problems with any other phone. I have actually switched phones w/ my daughter & I am using my sims card in her phone (Sony Ericson slider) and have had absolutely no problems at all!!! I put her sims card in my (Sync SGH-A707) and guess what....... yeap... same problems as before!!! Go figure..... My advise is to Go trade it on another phone before your 30 days are up..... this phone is HORRIBLE!!!!
