Xerox 2400 driver

Hello.

I am a Support Engineer with Xerox Scanners.

The Xerox 4800 do not have a supported Windows 7 driver. The scanner only supports Vista, XP, 2000, ME, and 98. I recommend trading the Xerox 4800 for a supported windows 7 scanner.

I am a Support Engineer with Xerox Scanners.

If scanner is stopping @ 98% is normally due t oa communication problem. Make sure USB cable is conencted to rear of PC ,and cable is no longer than 6ft..

Using window 7 scanner driver and try again

I would say that the software will not run on Windows 7. You'll have to go to the Xerox site to look for Win7 compatible software.
There are several good 3rd party scanning programs that will probably work.

You need to go to the vendor's site and find the Windows 7 driver for this device.

If it isn't brand new, they may not have a driver yet.

It will work with Vista and XP but not Win 7 unless you update drivers.

REMEBER THAT XP DRIVER WORK IN WINDOWS 7 WITH OUT PROBLEMS.

TO INSTALL DRIVER FIRST TURN OFF YOUR ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE.
THEN UNPLUG SCANNER FROM COMPUTER.
THEN INSTALL DRIVER
AND ATTACH SCANNER THE COMPUTER WILL SAY IT FOUND NEW HARDWARE AND ALLOW IT TO SCAN FOR BEST DRIVER.
AND AFTER IT IS DONE REBOOT COMPUTER AND USE.

Hi there. Sorry to tell you, but there is no driver for Windows 7. Maybe, soon, Xerox will provide the driver.
