PROBLEM WITH NOKIA 5300 EVERYTIME MICRO SD CARD INSERTED..

My nokia 5300 having a problem with an micro sd card..everytime i inserted the micro sd card it will not recognized by my cellphone...how to solve this..pls helppp..

    I have a Nokia 5300. One fine day by mistake I spilt a cofee on it.
    Since then it's not able to recognize the MicroSD card.
    I have even tried cleaning the contacts of the MicroSD card reader in mobile with a gentle brush but it did not help.

    Rest of the functionalities working fine.
    Any idea what must have happened ?

    Can I trust Nokia Care Centre for such problem resolution ?

    Kindly get back to me..

    my nokia 5300 is having a problem with the micro sd card..everytime i inserted the micro sd card it will not be recognized by my cellphone...The card worked yesterday and my PC recognises the card. how to solve this..pls helppp..

Nokia service is a good way to repair your phone. If you go there and just say that your phone is broken and you haven't done nothing to make it turn that way they will repair it free(only if you still have a warranty). But now about the micro SD: the gallery doesn't show the card icon either?

Unlock memory card
to can put the micro card into a adapter card that you use to put your phone info onto your computer and there is a switch on the left side of the adapter put it into the unlocked position which I believe is up and then take out ur micro card it should be unlocked. I know Kodak SD cards have this feature with the adapter I unlocked my micro card this way

Micro sd card too big for garmin gps nuvi 1450
A micro SD card is the correct memory card for the 14xx series. A 2 GB should be just fine. Some units can not handle a large memory SD card. This has nothing to do with the physical size however.

Are you sure it isn't a micro SD card that is inserted into a standard SD card adapter? A standard SD card is much larger and will not fit into the 14xx series. Look at the end of the SD card that does not have the gold pins and see if there is a ridge where the micro SD card may be inserted into the larger standard SD adapter. Using a fingernail, you can slide the micro SD card out from the SD card adapter. Also, the micro SD card will only insert one way. Try flipping it over and inserting it again, always with the gold pins facing the Nuvi.

How to remove password from micro SD card in nokia 5300
Hi there, I have a micro sd card from Nokia 5300 phone.But when i use the same card in Nokia 3120 Classic, the memory card has been locked but i did not set any password for the memory card...Can this issue be solved in nokia 3120 classic phone.Can the password be unlocked in nokia 3120 classic.........Please advise.....

Nokia 5300 Micro SD card is write protected
SD cards and microSD adaptors have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If it is a 4GB micro SD card it won't work, a nokia 6300 doesn't accept HC (high Capacity) micro SD cards. Maximum you can use is a 2 GB micro SD card.
