well..based on what you're stating here..sounds more like a sensor, based on the duty cycle.
SOURCE: FH error
You are correct..
FH is an indication the the machine is not sensing enough water flowing into the machine....
The only thing you can do without taking the machine apart is to disconnect the water hoses to the back of your machine and inspect the filter screens for any type of debris that might be restricting water flow into the machine. Typically, the cold water line is more susceptible to foreign matter than the hot waterline.
If screens appear OK then the problem may be with the water fill valve, water flow sensor, (flowmeter) water pressure switch or blockage in the water pressure switch hose.
However.. if everything is fine using just cold, verify hot water for proper pressure or possible kinks in the hose.

I have a 6mos. old Duet Sport Washer in a vacation home. Was working great! Then one day, not so much. Would "start" by sitting, then water would come in for 20 secs. sit... sit... 2 minutes later more water, may spin a little, sit.... sit.... After about 5 minutes, it would just shut off!
Had A&E come out. Replaced water sensor. Nothing. Replaced 2 control boards. Nothing. On 4th visit, the guy claims it is my home wiring (not covered under warranty after 30 days!) Had an electrician out but found nothing wrong.
Well.... I had an epiphany today and will test this Monday when I have time...
We installed a Geothermal System and updated our 20-y.o. electrical box. When the Geothermal system is running, the water pressure is lower (not significantly) but I am wondering if it is enough to cause the washer to shut down? If that is the issue, I will gladly do laundry when not running system if I know it will work reliably otherwise. I just wanted to share this for those who may also have similar issue. I will try to post my findings...
