SOURCE: FH error

You are correct..
FH is an indication the the machine is not sensing enough water flowing into the machine....
The only thing you can do without taking the machine apart is to disconnect the water hoses to the back of your machine and inspect the filter screens for any type of debris that might be restricting water flow into the machine. Typically, the cold water line is more susceptible to foreign matter than the hot waterline.
If screens appear OK then the problem may be with the water fill valve, water flow sensor, (flowmeter) water pressure switch or blockage in the water pressure switch hose.

However.. if everything is fine using just cold, verify hot water for proper pressure or possible kinks in the hose.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet washer FH code "sometimes"

I have a 6mos. old Duet Sport Washer in a vacation home. Was working great! Then one day, not so much. Would "start" by sitting, then water would come in for 20 secs. sit... sit... 2 minutes later more water, may spin a little, sit.... sit.... After about 5 minutes, it would just shut off!

Had A&E come out. Replaced water sensor. Nothing. Replaced 2 control boards. Nothing. On 4th visit, the guy claims it is my home wiring (not covered under warranty after 30 days!) Had an electrician out but found nothing wrong.

Well.... I had an epiphany today and will test this Monday when I have time...

We installed a Geothermal System and updated our 20-y.o. electrical box. When the Geothermal system is running, the water pressure is lower (not significantly) but I am wondering if it is enough to cause the washer to shut down? If that is the issue, I will gladly do laundry when not running system if I know it will work reliably otherwise. I just wanted to share this for those who may also have similar issue. I will try to post my findings...

I have a LG dishwasher that exhibits occasional groaning, 1E error and poor cleaning. Sometime it works fine but lately it's getting more common.

Since you have replaced the water inlet valve and still have the 1E error code, this leads me to believe that your water pressure could be too low.
1E error code means that your machine is not filling with enough water to operate correctly, so check the supply system completely and also the filters where the supply hose enters the machine.
The poor cleaning could be food clogging the lower filter screen, the groaning is the circulation pump cavitating.

The initials FH keeeps comin up on screen when the wash is at 26 minutes Then I have to turn off power and press start button again. What do these initials stand for?

Hello,

The FH error code means the computer on the control board didnt detect any water entering the washer..sometimes it doesnt detect the water entering because the filter screens on the water inlet valve are clogged with sediment and water is having a hard time entering the washer.

The filter screens can be checked by turning off water at the faucets and disconnecting the fill hoses from the back of the machine and pop the screens out of where the hoses connect at the washer and check for blockage in them. If they are found to be clean, check the water coming out of the hoses before connecting them back to the washer...if the screens are clean and water pressure is good out of the hoses the part of the washer called the FLOW METER would need to be replaced

I have a 4000 Series Maytag Frontload Washer that is blinking with a F-20 error code. I am trying to find out what this means.

The F20 code usually means a washer fill problem. It could be low water pressure or no water pressure. Check that your water valves are open on both the hot and cold inlets. Check the hoses for kinks or damage that interrupts the water flow. Check for debris in the inlet filters and clean the filters. Some anti-flood hoses can close their internal valve if the water pressure builds up. This could cause the machine to see no water pressure. What is your water pressure (it should be above 10 psi)? If you have a water well, this could could give low water pressure to the washer and trigger the error.

Replace the hoses if needed. If you have a High Efficiency washer, make sure to use HE detergent. Excess suds could cause the incoming water flow to be judged as low.

See http://maytag.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2887/~/display-shows-f20-or-fh---front-load-washer for details.

I hope this helps.

Lazy spa pump has e02 code

If this is an outdoor spa near trees, its almost a guarantee that the impeller is blocked with debris (pine needles can cause this in a hurry)

If the impeller is clean of debris and this is still happening, replace you pressure/flow switch.

Hi, What does a F20 error mean on a maytag 3000 series?

See this page: http://maytag.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2887/~/display-shows-f20-or-fh---front-load-washer

Your washer water valve inlet screens may be dirty / covered with debris and need cleaned. Some hoses have additional screens installed at the faucett connection depending on who did the install process. Low water pressure will also cause this code.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Whirlpool washer error code & water doesn't drain all the way

Hello,

F20 indicates insufficient water coming into the machine. I've seen this over and over and over again. The number 1 reason this error code appears is clogged screens in the water inlet valve. If you clean the screens and everything is ok, then it could be the valve itself or a kinked water line in the back.

Note: to clean the filter, you need to take the water lines off the inlet valve (the hot and cold) and pull the screen out with needle nose plyers making sure you don't cruch the screen.

Hope this helps. Good luck and thank you for using fixya.com :)
