Cant play GTA V online

Nothing is more frustrating than discovering you can't play "Neverwinter Nights 2" with your friends. If you experience complications while trying to connect to the online server, your router may be to blame. While largely responsible for communication between multiple computers and a modem, your router is also a built-in firewall that helps protect your network security. While normally a good thing, this can sometimes keep you from enjoying online games with your friends. Fortunately, you can bypass this firewall without compromising your connection.

Try putting your computer ip in DMZ, although this may bring some security risks.

Ok well this is out of the manual, to me it seems straight forwards, but it is a brick too though, there is an example to help you, basically you tell it the Address of the PC, (Right click on NIC and get address) that you want ports to go to.. then ALLOW it, UN-disable actually.. in the tables.

I think you need to find "Firewall Rules" section in your router in order to add/Remove a port foward rule

If the problem has something to do with NAT firewall in your router, then you may need to open certain application ports for your XBOX in the router. You may check this link from Microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908874 that talks about NAT firewall and XBOX live.

You are having port issue with your router. If you could careless about playing the online content just sign out of the PSN and the game will work fine. If you want the online content/games you need to open/forward a lot of ports on your router. I had the same problem. The ports required are as follows: Port type: TCP: 9293; 6358; 25; 110; 80; 443; 5223; 10070-10080; 50000-65535*. Port type: UDP: 3074; 3075; 3658; 3478; 3479; 6000-6999; 7000; 50000-65535*. If you don't know how to open/forward ports call the router manufacturer and ask. *some routers will only let you enter 65534, but try 65535 first.

You need to set up port forwarding, so your router passes the correct ports to your computer

For me to help more, I'd need your router model number, and you need to find out what port the program uses (there might be an option to change the port in the program itself)

I had the same problem.. the router did forward another port for me (port 12345) so i just set the port for uTorrent to 12344 and it magically worked... i'm not sure why but i would try setting the port to a lower range
